And the winner is….. MARY STAMM! Mary subscribed to Film+Fashion+Fun and was entered to win a FESTIVAL PASS to the 2014 Dallas International Film Festival. Congratulations Mary!
What is a festival pass? Well, it is 11-days packed full of incredible film at DIFF. The schedule is out and the DIFF box office (sponsored by Prekindle) is open to the public and located in Mockingbird Station (just below the Angelika Theater). Click here for all the details and hours of operation.
Not up for a full pass? You can buy individual film tickets as well. They are $12 each and can be purchased at the main DIFF box office or on-line here.
Overwhelmed by so much film? Be sure to look at the on-line schedule to plot out your DIFF journey. Pick one a day that works for your schedule and then add one around that. Leave plenty of time for the film run time plus Q & A at the end of the film. That is the bonus of a film festival. You get conversation at the end of the film which lets you in on the process, idea, story and journey of the film. You have plenty to choose from. James Faust, Artistic Director and Sarah Harris, Senior Programmer have programmed over 170 films for your enjoyment. Lee Papert, President & CEO runs a great operation and ensures a successful festival. There are many staff members, festival staff and volunteers that make this annual festival one of the best bangs for your buck.
Here are some of my film choices this year. Click on the film and it will take you to the full description and details including the show dates/times and theater locations.
