Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day! I hope you got my post that I did over the weekend about the Memorial Day weekend sales. They last through today so be sure to refer to this blog post to get the links and discount codes. Great deals!
I’m heading out today on a trip and wanted to share my tips for summer packing ease. Where am I going? Follow along on Instagram or Facebook and look for some upcoming blog posts about my journey. I can’t wait to share the trip with you. Hint: It has something to do with my childhood.
The very first thing I do when I book travel is I check my destination on TripAdvisor. It is the best site to read reviews, check prices and book your trip. I have even left comments and reviews on places I have traveled. TripAdvisor can handle air transportation, hotel reservations, vacation rentals, restaurants and give you destination recommendations. All in one place. I book travel through them all the time.
I have a few simple tricks to help make your summer travel easy. 1) Pack in one roller suitcase that you check 2) Check a second, smaller bag that contains all of your toiletries. That way you don’t have to worry about measuring liquid that will have to go through security 3) Get a great carry-on bag that can hold all of your stuff 4) Wear something comfortable yet chic and pulled together 5) Pack items that don’t wrinkle and are easy to style; pick pieces that are easy to layer and style together
That’s it. Bottom line: Don’t over pack and keep it simple. I am linking you to what I packed in my bag as well as my favorite Tumi pieces that I love to travel with. A huge thank you to Lilly and St. Bernard Sports for helping me get ready for this trip.
Yes, you are seeing correctly. I did purchase some Birkenstock shoes (it was influenced by this trip destination). And due to all the rain, I have just been letting my natural waves run free. What do you think? xoxo- Tanya

Pete’s Tip: Place a dry cleaner’s plastic bag between items. It really reduces wrinkles…a lot!

One tip I would like to add…if you roll all of your clothing, you can fit more into your suitcase!!!
