Oh thank goodness it is finally Friday! As the temperatures start to (slowly) drop, it is the perfect time to talk about one of my favorite topics: building a fall capsule wardrobe. You have probably noticed that I have been chatting a lot lately about fall transitional pieces such as HERE and HERE. Today, we are taking it a step further and focusing on how to create a timeless, elegant capsule wardrobe for fall that makes getting dressed effortless every single day.
Cheers To The Casual Fall Outfit | High vs. Low
Happy OCTOBER! Let’s look at a cute casual fall outfit! Whether you’re enjoying lunch with friends or doing some weekend shopping, you’ll need something cute to wear. This is a great fall look for everyday, no matter what your plans look like. These two fall look are both similar, but one is at a higher price point, while the other is more affordable. I always love a chic look for less! I’ve also included an easy fall cocktail recipe at the bottom to start off your weekend. Cheers!
Lightweight Sweaters for Fall Transition Season
Y’all, it was chilly in New York City when Laura and I went earlier this week, so now I am all about sweater weather! YIPPEE! You may be thinking, ‘Huh? But it’s still on the warmer side.’ Don’t you worry… today I will highlight many lightweight sweaters that are perfect for this fall transition season. I think that most of us are ready to dress for fall even if the fall temps aren’t quite here yet, and these lightweight sweaters are perfect to wear and layer.
How to Style a White Button Down Blouse | High vs. Low
We all know that a white blouse is an absolute wardrobe staple to have year round. Every woman should have one in her closet. It is so easy to go from casual to dressy, from a work look to a weekend look, and everything in between. 2026 NEW Fall Trends
Class is in session! This season it is all about college prep I’m seeing it everywhere! Think rugby polos, stripes, argyle, khakis, loafers, popped collars, and more. Very East Coast Ivy League inspired looks. You’ll see lots of rich navy’s, maroons, camels, and olive greens. The good news is that you do not have to go back to school to embrace this trend! So ditch the books and instead take some time to shop the new school style. These are trends that can be incorporated into your wardrobe all fall long, making it worth it to relive the good ‘ole days via your style.
Labor Day Weekend Ready & Sales Round-Up
Labor Day Weekend is officially here! Praise Be! Are you staying home for LDW or traveling? Pete and I are currently on a European adventure and very much enjoying the cooler temps. Be sure and follow our trip here. If you are wanting to plan a last minute road trip, check out my favorite Texas travel destinations for ideas. Today I’m sharing some white items and pieces that can not only be worn over Labor Day Weekend, but also afterwards. Just because summer is over does not mean you have to ditch all of your white clothing pieces. I wear my white jeans all year long! That rule about not wearing white after Labor Day is totally outdated. These pieces are especially great for transitioning from summer to fall. Also, be sure and read all the way through to catch the best of Labor Day Weekend SALES. There are some great deals out there!
2026 Fall Home Decor Ideas
Is it just me or are you also SO ready for fall weather? Even though it’s been hot, with grocery stores being filled with pumpkins and pumpkin spice items, it gets me inspired to decorate for fall. Plus, Practical Magic 2 comes out in two weeks! This is why today I’m sharing some fall home decor inspiration. Let’s look at pieces you can add to your home for fall, including items for Halloween and Thanksgiving. These pieces are tasteful and don’t detract from your usual home decor. I know some people who love decorating for each individual holiday and others who like to decorate for the season as a whole. What do you do? I love to decorate for fall and then add some touches for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Right after that, I do major decorating for the Christmas holiday season. But overall I operate by the “one holiday at a time” rule.

From fashion to beauty, I know you will love these pieces as well. I call this season our ‘transition’ season as the temps can still be warm but everyone is seriously ready for some change.
