I will never forget where I was on 9.11.01. Pete and I were still home getting ready for the day as we watched the plane hit the second tower. It was unbelievable and devastating all at the same time. Where were you?
Today, I ask that everyone just take some extra time to reflect, pray, sit still, be thankful and just breathe. THANK YOU to our service men and women, our veterans and firefighters, police and all those who keep us safe and provide us with our FREEDOM. I know it comes at a cost and is not free. It is perhaps the reason I love working with Ryan “Birdman” Parrott at Sons of the Flag. He was sitting in his desk in high school when he watched the second tower crumble to the ground on TV. It compelled him to enlist in the Navy and serve our great country. Thank God for Ryan and people braver than me.
On our recent trip to New York City, Pete and I were in awe of the ground zero memorial and the new Freedom Tower. Never forget!
Leave me a note and let me know what you are thankful for this Patriot Day. I am thankful for you, my readers. xoxo- Tanya
I’m not a US citizen but I do feel the loss when 9/11 comes every year since terrorism is a global concern. The pain of the family with loss could never disappear.
This is something I don’t think anyone will forget. I was at my nurses cart doing morning med pass. God Bless America
