HAPPY NEW YEAR! Welcome to 2018. How were your holidays? Ours were great and I took some much-needed time off to be with my family and just relax. It’s January which means two things: it’s the blog anniversary month and its my birthday month. Both will be celebrated by me doing lots of giveaways here on TanyaFoster.com. As a subscriber (those of you who receive the daily e-mail) YOU will be the first to know about these amazing giveaways. Today I am giving away advance screening VIP tickets to the much-anticipated film PHANTOM THREAD starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
OK, you know how much I love film and fashion! When the studio contacted me to see if I wanted to host this advance screening I was thrilled! You may or may not know that this is Daniel Day-Lewis’ last film. He is retiring from acting. I hope you will join me. You and one gust will have VIP seats in the reserved section for TanyaFoster.com subscribers on WEDNESDAY, January 10 at 7:00 PM. This will fill up quickly so reserve your spot immediately by leaving a comment on today’s blog post (tell me a 2018 goal and/or your favorite movie you have recently seen).
Set in the glamour of 1950’s post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock’s life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love. With his latest film, Paul Thomas Anderson paints an illuminating portrait both of an artist on a creative journey, and the women who keep his world running. Phantom Thread is Paul Thomas Anderson’s eighth movie, and his second collaboration with Daniel Day-Lewis.
This film is rated R for language and has a run time of 130 minutes. It opens in Dallas on January 12. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with the theater location next week. A guest list will contain the names of those confirmed and you will check in at the theater.
Looking forward to screening this film with YOU! xoxo- Tanya
