Is there anything better than a great pair of jeans that fit perfectly? I think not! Chico’s and NYDJ have just collaborated to bring you some of the best fitting denim and I’m excited to share them with you today. Plus, I love a good monochromatic casual fall look. Especially at the State Fair of Texas!
If there were ever a denim brand that focuses on FIT, its NYDJ. NYDJ jeans are made by women, for women—all shapes, all sizes, all women. Back in 2003, comfortable and flattering jeans for every woman simply did not exist. Most jeans had low waists and fit uncomfortably, and if they did fit well, they were just not stylish. Originally founded as “Not Your Daughter’s Jeans,” they set out to design jeans that fit in all the right places and make every woman feel comfortable and confident—like her best self.
Chico’s was founded in 1983 as a small boutique selling Mexican folk art on Sanibel Island in Florida. Then one day, our founders discovered the sweater that made literally everyone look fabulous, pivoted the business, and retail was never the same. The rich colors, bold prints, unique artisanal details, problem-solving styles, and amazing personal stylists made a lasting connection with customers. Now there are over 600 Chico’s boutiques nationwide, international (franchise) partners, a monthly mailer, and round-the-clock shopping at chicos.com.
It makes total sense that these two amazing brands would partner! I’m wearing the Cool Control Skinny Ankle Jeans in color Atlantic Blue. Because I wanted these really fitted, I sized down one size (wearing size 4). I LOVE the fit of these NYDJ! I paired it with this striped layer sweater which makes it look like there is a shirt underneath. In reality, it’s one sweater. I originally got these shoes because they would be easy to travel in but now I wear them all the time. You can quickly slip into them. My Goyard GM bag is my go to tote but I also love my Barrington bag that I custom designed.
This is my typical “every day Tanya” look. You will see me dressed like this while running errands or hanging out at the State Fair of Texas like I was on the day we shot this outfit. Have you been yet? You have until October 21. Hurry!
Any guesses on what I ate that day at the fair? I made my photographer have one too! xoxo – Tanya

Fletchers corny dog yum! Miss the fair it’s so much fun! Bet it’s time for the Texas shootout between UT and OU.
Jeasns opinion:
I prefer Diane Gilman jeans. I used to wear NYDJ but they stretched out after one wear so I had to wash them to get them to snap back. That’s not the case for dg2. Plus they really are cut for baby boomers. Love em.
OU/UT game happened last weekend and UT won!
I think NYDJ must have revamped. Mine don’t stretch out.

Still can’t believe there was ANYONE in the State of Texas that had not had a Fletcher’s Corny Dog! You probably saved her from a long stay in purgatory by introducing her to the Dog of the State Fair.
RIGHT?????
Think of all the corny dogs we have consumed over the many years of attending the State Fair of Texas.
