By now you might have figured out that I’m in the Bahamas! I am so excited to be out of the wintery weather and on island time. The hardest part about going to the beach? PACKING. I will make life easier for you and tell you all of the must-have items that are in my suitcase. All you need to do is book your beach vacation! Check out my Bahamas Packing List.
For starters, these joggers that I am wearing in the picture are an absolute MUST-HAVE item for traveling and leisure. They are so soft and comfortable and they also come in gray. Get both colors before they sell out! For size reference, I am wearing size small and they are long enough for me (I’m 5’8″ tall). They have a generous fit. Paired with your favorite tennis shoes, T-shirt and a jacket and you’re all set for a comfortable travel day. What makes my packing so much easier is using this bag as my carry-on. It is the perfect size to carry all of your necessary items and I love that it is monogrammed. This monogrammed luggage tag is another must-have that makes it so easy to spot my bags at baggage claim.
Ok now let’s get to my packing list. Below I have linked all of the items underneath the pictures. If something is not available anymore, I have linked a similar item. Want to see the clothes in action? Simply follow my Instagram account here.
I will have a full blog post detailing our resort and all island activities next week. I’ll also show you how I wore all of these outfits and why doing the flat lays is so helpful before I depart. Stay tuned…

Bahamas Packing List
This black swimsuit is flattering and doesn’t give you any odd tan lines. Although a slightly different style than pictured above, this cover-up dress is so breezy and light making it perfect for a day walking around in the sand. You will also love this cover-up made by the same company. Just add these sandals, a bag and a sun hat and you are set for a stylish beach bound look.
Here is another beach look, only more casual. I love this one shoulder one piece swimsuit with the bold striped pattern. A simple white shirt and jean shorts are great as cover-ups if you are going between the beach and other activities. Just add these awesome flip flops, a hat and sunglasses. Oh, and don’t forget your sunscreen 😉
Here is the perfect look for heading to town to shop or eat at a restaurant. This romper is my new favorite. It’s so flattering and comfortable. I paired it with these sandals and a trendy beach tote to complete the look. Just add your favorite jewelry and accessories! This shell anklet is a fun beach accessory for this look. Here is another one of my favorite swimsuits! I don’t always wear two pieces, but this top and bottom are too cute to resist. I paired this look with a simple jean short, shirt and sandals, but you could also pair this suit with the matching sarong. I have linked some other great swimsuits and cover-ups below.
This is definitely a casual chic look for the beach. This would also be a great look if you are on a cruise. This black one piece swimsuit is comfortable and is another one that will not give you odd tan lines. When you wear a one piece, all you really need is a sarong for walking around. This sarong is great for doubling as a cover-up and a beach blanket.
Here is my full suitcase, ready to go! Besides the looks above, I always pack a nice silk dress and a pair of heels for a fancier dinner or an evening out on the town. This dress and this dress are some of my favorites for a vacation. Below is my complete packing list of your must-have items.
