Did you watch the Academy Awards last night? It’s the Super Bowl for fashion bloggers. I have always loved watching the Oscars for as long as I can remember. So let’s get down to business. Here’s my list of the BEST, WORST and just MEH dressed on the red carpet at the 2018 Oscars.
Now, before I get started, this is a FASHION review list. This has absolutely nothing to do with the actor, their work or career. It simply speaks to the choice they (or their stylist) made last night. My process is fairly simple. I watch the entire red carpet pre-show while also searching Getty images online. I start to form my preliminarily list and then gather input from you on social media. So thank you to Carol, Kelley, Maria, Courtney, Katherine, Shanna, Justin, Vicki, Libby, Alison, Debbie, Matt and all the sweet names I have forgotten to list. Then I watch the entire Academy Awards show because I want to see how the dress moves when they get up on stage. I take all of this into consideration as I start writing this blog post. Yes, I’m up until midnight writing this one.
Soooo, without further ado, here is the 2018 list. I have pulled some fabulous dresses and linked them at the bottom of this post so that all of us can be red carpet ready! Nicole Kidman in Armani Prive. Does she ever miss? Everything is absolutely perfect with this look!
P.S. I LOVE Kelly Ripa’s dress (pictured at the top). It’s Christian Siriano. So, I’m naming her BEST DRESSED honorable mention.

Nicole is in her own category of Hollywood glamor. She could wear a paper sack. Jennifer Garner was my fave— Ben needs his head/eyes examined.
This is absolutely true Carol. Nicole has knocked it out of the ballpark for many years. I’m glad you liked Jennifer Garner’s dress. I feel like she was overlooked by many fashion lists.

I heard someone make a comment that Whoopie would have looked better had she stuck to her Guinan outfits in her Startrek: The Next Generation role…I heartily agree.
I liked Jenifer Garner”s gown even more than Nicole’s, but N’s was great, too.

I agree with you too Tanya. Some fashion “experts” also picked the girl from Ladybird as a Best Dressed. She was wearing a strapless pink gown with a big bow on the back. What did you think of that one? They also said that they thought many were just too casual like Jodie Foster, Emma Stone. Your thoughts?

I did like the pink dress it just looked like she was trying too hard. IT’s also a weird length.
Personally, for a black-tie event, I say dress up and own the red carpet. To me, pants and a jacket just aren’t dressy enough.

I wish you could have found one woman if color to I clude in your Best list. All the women on your Best list look the same. I love the hit pink dress on your Meh list
