Brand focus: Lafayette 148 New York

It may be the middle of August but I am already thinking about my fall wardrobe. More specifically, how to transition between summer and fall. We all know that Texas is hot for at least another month, yet we crave darker colors and fall fabrics. I’ve recently discovered a brand that I am in love with – Lafayette 148 New York.

Have you ever wondered where this brand gets its name? Lafayette 148 New York is a New York-based women’s fashion brand named after the address in SoHo where we they were founded. Created in 1996, they are known for sophisticated, clean-lined designs that fuse luxurious fabrics, outstanding craftsmanship, and a modern sensibility inspired by the dynamism of New York City. The clothes are rooted in form, but thrive in function!

For this fall transition look, I chose the Charlene blouse in color cloud (also comes in black), the Thompson jean in bella denim topped with the Rayna Trench Coat. I love this cotton trench and the beautiful leaf print! I think a beautiful trench is so chic and I love the way it elevated this casual look. And this one is so light making layering easy. There are so many great pieces in the Lafayette 148 New York collection that I linked more of my favorites below. For size reference, the brand fits be true to size. I’m wearing a size 6 in the jeans, size small in the blouse and a medium in the trench coat.
