Happy August 1st! I cannot believe we are already into the month of August. Where has summer gone?? Well today I am so excited to feature a brand that offers unique and timeless pieces that I know you will love. Mi Golondrina is my favorite place to shop for gorgeous feminine pieces that are great for summer and early fall. Let’s take a look!
Brand Spotlight: Mi Golondrina
Mi Golondrina is a women-owned boutique that is located right in the heart of Dallas. Cristina Lynch founded Mi Golondrina in 2013 with the desire to share the beauty of Mexico with the modern day woman. Her inspiration stemmed from her mother’s Mexican heritage and love of Mexican art. Through her hand-embroidered pieces, she strives to preserve Mexican art and the artisan culture. Mi Golondrina partners with over 600 artisans throughout Mexico to create their one-of-a-kind garments. Each design represents the community and culture of the people that made them. I also love that they are committed to paying each artisan fair wages so that they can better support their families.
Another interesting tidbit about the brand is where the name Mi Golondrina came from. As a young girl, founder Cristina used to visit her grandfather’s ranch house in Mexico and always noticed the small swallows or ‘golondrinas’ nesting. It gave her a vision of the golondrinas flying and delivering beauty to women not only in Mexico, but all around the world. This is why you’ll notice that each garment has a hand-stitched golondrina on it (as seen in the photo above). This unique detail is just one of the things that makes this brand so special.
Mi Golondrina offers a variety of women’s clothing. You can find gorgeous dresses, tops, skirts, sweatshirts, headbands and even pieces for your home.
