Spring is in full swing, which means summer style is just around the corner. I know it’s still April, but I know I’m ready for summer beach trips, lobster bakes, and all the summer activities! It will be here before we know it, so it’s time to think about wardrobe pieces that can take you from spring into summer. Today I specifically want to focus on classic all American looks. Think red, white, and blue looks that are perfect spring to summer transitional pieces. You can get wear from these pieces now, for Memorial Day, and even Fourth of July!
Classic All-American Style
A classic red dress is such a standout for spring and summer. This red midi dress (size 4) is the perfect structure and elegance to wear all spring and summer long. It’s easy to dress up or down, making it perfect for luncheons, graduations, or even a wedding guest dress. Above I wore it with heeled sandals and a statement coin necklace for an elevated dinner look or semi-formal event. For a casual look, pair it with flats or you can even throw on a denim jacket and sneakers for a more casual style. It’s truly the perfect little red dress.
This is one of those timeless combinations that you will wear on repeat. This navy and white striped top (size S) paired with white jeans is effortlessly chic. I love this look for daytime outings, casual lunches, or even a relaxed weekend away. Pair it with these metallic sandals or dress it up with these wedge sandals (look just like Hermès but for under $100).
This white crochet lace blouse (size S) is a great top for so many spring and summer occasions. It also come in a beautiful shade of navy. Above I paired it with cuffed denim jeans and a red handbag for a look captures that easy, coastal summer feel. It’s the perfect style for a casual Memorial Day event, beachside evenings, and more.

And of course, if you want to go full American, this oversized Americana sweater or this ‘America’ sweater are the perfect throw-on for chilly summer days in the mountains or at the beach. I have even more red, white, and blue options for spring and summer linked below.

I ordered my Independence Day look from Talbots too — your blog is how I decided to try them again and I just love them! Have a great holiday, Tanya!
I’m in France this week will celebrate the 4th in either Vannes off the Brittany coast or more inland near Versailles. Back to Seattle July 8
You look so American. Love your top. My 4th will be lazy. We also have a neighborhood parade and I live on the border of Addison so I can see the fireworks from my house. My outfit is easy this year – I was in the Dollar Tree and saw some amazing long 4th of July scarfs and t bought one to pull back my hair. Crazy as it sounds, these scarfs are great for $1.00! Done.
I thought for a second the red in the back was a British post phone box lol. Really enjoyed reading this post, you have an amazing style you have definitely given me some style ideas, thank you
