I gave Victoria a style challenge for the blog. Come up with a denim trend look that is not wearing a pair of jeans. I think she knocked it out of the ballpark with this stylish denim pinafore dress from Nordstrom. You know, denim doesn’t just mean wearing a pair of jeans.
While interning for me this summer, Victoria got really good at making key fashion decisions and placing orders with Nordstrom for our shoots. She quickly learned that ordering online and selecting ‘in-store pick up’ was the way to go. Our favorite store is Nordstrom Northpark and they located the third floor pick up location right by the door to the parking garage. It’s really the easiest way to shop if you are in a hurry which always seems to be the case with me.
I love this look that she styled for this shoot. It’s effortless and I can even see a lot of young moms running carpool in this cute outfit. Consider wearing your favorite Adidas with it to make it a bit sporty. My outfit is linked for you below. It’s from the ‘premium denim’ education post I did last week. How many of you knew those premium denim facts?

One of the beauties about denim is all the ways you can wear it. I love a good jean jacket but I am obsessed with the overall dress I am pictured wearing below! It is such an easy effortless look that you can for several occasions. The way I styled this outfit is to go out with friends during the day or evening. This look would great for Lollpolaza/ACL/Coachella etc. but worn with a pair of flat sandals or slides for comfort. If the weather is a bit cooler you can easily pair the dress with a long sleeved top or sweater. A cross-body bag is light-weight and perfect for carrying your essentials (Phone, wallet, keys) The specific bag I pictured is sold out, but I linked similar cross-body that will not disappoint. I know this look is more on the trendier side and not so much of a classic look, but I encourage you be bold and confident when trying out new trends! You will look amazing!
