I love discovering new brands don’t you? Recently, I was asked to pop in to the new Ruti store in Northpark Center and meet founder Ruti Zisser. I fell in love with the brand and I think you will too.

Ruti was founded in 2009 to change your relationship with your closet. After years as a tech executive, Ruti Zisser took a leap of faith and struck out on her own to create a new kind of luxury brand. She has three rules for design: 1) It must be COOL. You don’t need to sacrifice the cool factor to achieve a look that is classic and sophisticated. 2) It must be FLATTERING. Their clothes are designed to flatter a woman over the age of 35 without making her look like she’s trying too hard. 3) It must be PRACTICAL. Ruti says that 80% of her collection are clothes that she wears everyday. 20% of the collection is aspirational – it’s for the woman she daydreams of being.

When I met Ruti I was instantly struck by how chic she is. Sort of that west coast L.A. kind of chic. The brand is feminine but not girly. Flattering with beautiful, high-end fabrics and colors. Take a look at the entire collection online because I think you will agree. I absolutely love this marine blue dress. The magic tie belt allows for a little definition in front while the back flows.
