Nothing pleases me more than to recommend a great event benefitting an amazing organization. Heroes & Handbags benefitting Heroes For Children will be held on April 8 and you need to be there. After all, these amazing handbags will all up for grabs!
The purpose of the event is to raise funds so that Heroes for Children may continue in its mission of advocating for and providing financial and social assistance to families with a child (0-22 years of age) battling cancer. Heroes for Children, founded in 2004 by Larissa Linton and Jenny Scott, two young moms who lost their beautiful girls to childhood cancer, provides more than $60,000 a month to families across Texas for financial assistance and social programs that enable families to focus on the most important part of treatment – the child. Assistance for ongoing expenses, medical co-pays, travel and utilities, birthday parties and special milestones in the child’s life, laptops for teens and young adults so they can stay connected and engaged in school, holiday celebrations and more – Heroes for Children is the only organization that provides flexibility and immediacy to meet the family’s need.
How do you get your hands on one of these fabulous bags? Buy a ticket here and attend the event. The bags are in the silent auction and available for you to bid on. The event is on Friday, April 8th and unlike a luncheon, it’s a brunch event that starts at 9:30 AM at The Ritz Carlton Hotel. Event co-chairs Dawn Greiner and Julianna LeBlanc have worked hard to secure one of a kind handbags for the bidding. My dear friend Lisa Cooley is serving as Honorary Chair.
Want to meet me there and join the fun? Contact Larissa Linton, Executive Director at llinton@heroesforchildren.org or call 214.256.5824. For more information visit www.heroesforchildren.org/dallashandbags
