Happy 2023! Did everyone have a nice holiday this year? So if you’ve been following me on Instagram and the blog, then you know that I just went to London and Edinburgh with Pete to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I posted a detailed blog about my trip HERE, so today let’s look at what I wore in Europe. Before my trip I had my stylist (Lexi Dennis, pictured above) come over and help me pick out the chicest looks to wear on my travels. These looks are not only great for any upcoming travels, but also for the winter months. Check out how we maximized her style tips to get me through a 9-day trip.
How I Packed and What I Wore in Europe
Let’s start with this adorable look from Ann Taylor! These plaid pants and this ruffle trim top were just perfect to wear in Europe. I wear a size 6 pants and S top. I just wore this over the weekend in Dallas too and it was perfect!
_____
How chic are these leather wide leg pants? They are actually from a UK-based brand called Karen Millen (you may remember me introducing them to you HERE), making it the perfect look for London. I paired the look with a classic cashmere turtleneck. I am in a size M sweater and 8 pants (I should’ve ordered a size 6 pant).
_____
Another classic look is this elbow sleeve sweater with these coated high rise skinny jeans. For the cold weather I added a classic and gorgeous wool fitted coat. I wear a size S sweater, 6 jeans. They fit like a straight leg jean.
_____
When traveling in the winter, you need an easy sweater and jeans combo. A cashmere cable knit sweater is a classic wardrobe piece that everyone needs in their winter wardrobe. Since we were walking around so much, I paired them with these On Cloud sneakers. They were so comfortable!
_____
Another winter wardrobe piece that was perfect for dinners out while traveling is this faux leather dress (size 6). The color is just gorgeous and fit is so flattering! For the winter I paired it with these black suede waterproof boots and black tights. For an outdoor look, just add a wool coat and scarf.
_____
You need a waterproof coat when traveling to a colder climate. I recommend investing in a higher quality coat because you will wear it for years. It was warm and weatherproof which really helped on the day we went to Stonehenge and Windsor Castle.
_____
How gorgeous is this bodycon sweater dress? It’s the perfect dress for a date night or an event this winter. I wear a size S but if you are between sizes or don’t like body hugging dresses, I would size up one size.
_____
I bought myself a cashmere cardigan sweater while in Scotland, and it was the perfect layering piece! I linked similar options below. Pete got a sweater too and he loves it!
_____
This green silk top was the perfect top to wear for dinner. I paired it with these black stretch pants. They have the best fit and have been a favorite pant of mine for years. Finish off your look with statement shoes like an animal print bootie.
_____
Lastly, here is my travel look for the trip home! My advice is to always pick something with layers that is comfortable. Above I am wearing these Spanx faux leather leggings (size M), a black sweater, and a white tee with On Cloud sneakers. I also wear one coat on the plane and pack two coats when traveling abroad in the winter. This was probably my most asked question on Instagram Stories (click HERE and HERE to watch the trip). Additionally, we check three bags to manage all the outfits.

Which look is your favorite? Have a great week!
