Do you ever get so busy that you just need to unplug and relax? Me too! Oftentimes, I am so busy with the blog, family, meetings and just life that I am in real need of a spa. But I don’t have time to head to the spa, check in, get the services, blah, blah, blah. Let me show your easy steps you can do to create a spa like atmosphere in your own home with L’Occitane.
I’m pretty sure that I am in dire need of a vacation. One where there is no cell phone service and they don’t allow computers or any electronic devices. Doesn’t that sound like heaven? To completely unplug! Guess what. You can create that at home spa in your very own bathroom. I did and it works miracles.
L’Occitane has long been one of my favorite brands because their skincare products are so rich and creamy. My dry skin requires a lot of moisturizer and while I’m great at taking care of my face, my body always feels dry. Their hand cream and foot cream are absolutely the best on the market. I use them as well as gift them because anyone can use them.
The brand started in Provence, France and continues to be a leader in skincare products. But did you know that they also make bath and body products, fragrances, hair care and a mens collection? While we are talking about bath products, one way you can relax and a spa like atmosphere at home is to have a hot bath with the Lavender Foaming Bath. Y’all it smells like you are running through a lavender field! Other products that I am currently using and are very calming are the Extra Gentle Soap, Almond Shower Oil (I use it in the bath tub too), the Ultra Rich Shea Butter Body Cream, the Body Shower Cream (a great way to moisturize before getting out of the shower) and the Lumiere collection.
In addition to all the products in this post, I have just received all the Almond oil based products and the Aqua Reotier line (a bit lighter). I’ll report back on these products in a follow-up post.
5 ways to create your at home spa
Turn OFF your phone and rid yourself of all electronic devices. Light a candle and play some spa music like ocean waves or rain.
Schedule at least one hour of uninterrupted time for yourself. More if you can!
An at home spa can be created any time on any day. Give yourself permission to do so. How about a bubble bath at 2:00 PM on Wednesday? Do it!
Pick products that are soothing and relaxing. There’s a reason that checking into a spa automatically feels calm. It’s the scents and products they are using.
Once you are done, don’t rush back into the real world. Read a book, lounge for a while, have a light snack (or glass of wine) in your pajamas or robe (this is the one I have on). Think of what you would be doing at a spa – relaxing!
Now, who is ready to check in to the Foster spa? xoxo – Tanya

Ellen,
I’m so glad you do. Be sure to indulge in a L’Occitane bubble bath!

I’ve always used their hand cream but I didn’t realize they made so many other products. Sounds wonderful. I’m a bath junkie so I’ll take your advice.
Good one!
