Hello! Today, let’s look at how to dress in subtle luxury. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that when it comes to designer pieces, I love simplicity. I would rather splurge on an investment designer piece that I can wear for years, rather than spend money on fast fashion pieces. Nordstrom is my go-to for designer pieces. They have the best options that fit my personal style.
How to Dress in Subtle Luxury
What even does subtle luxury mean? Designer pieces give you an instant look of luxury. The subtleness comes from the simple minimalism of the designer piece. I love clean lines and neutral colors. Minimalism is chic, professional and elegant. I always think of style icon, Audrey Hepburn. Fashion goals! One way to achieve this is wear a neutral dress, like this STAUD maxi shirtdress, and pair it with different shoes, depending on the occasion. Pair it with Gucci sneakers for a casual sporty look, or a pair of slide sandals for a relaxed casual look.
Another minimalistic piece that I love from the Nordstrom Designer spring collection is this Fabiana Filippi tulle dress. It is the epitome of subtle luxury! For some everyday pieces, I love this Khaite ruffle pleated top and this Brunello Cucinelli beaded silk top. They are both so gorgeous and versatile. The tops pair perfectly with these high waisted linen pants or these belted shorts, both by Brunello Cucinelli. That’s the beauty of minimalistic pieces; they easily mix and match for many outfit options. Just pair any of these looks with these Khaite slide sandals for a chic spring look.
We can’t talk designer without talking accessories! Some designer pieces that are a must are purses, sunglasses and watches. This leather tote has a gorgeous shape and the perfect neutral color. This Gucci watch is definitely subtle luxury as well as these Gucci square sunglasses. These are all timeless pieces. Make-up is another essential accessory. Gucci now makes lipstick and it is fabulous!
Do you prefer subtle luxury or more prints and patterns?
