How to pack for a weekend getaway
It is key to have a variety of pieces for all types of weather. Let’s start with tops. I love this classic pink stripe shirt or this classic paisley shirt. They are lightweight and I love the fun prints. For warmer weather, pack this sleeveless button up shirt. For bottoms you need pants and shorts. I love these white ankle jeans and these shorts. Above, I am wearing the shorts in blush pink, but they also come in four other classic colors. Another item you need is a cute and casual dress. This striped tie sleeve shift dress is so cute and comfortable. Stripes are timeless! Another clothing item you need are some layers in case it gets chilly at night. A classic jean jacket is a packing must. For a lighter layer, this colorful cotton sweater or this light linen sweater are perfect.
Style tip: Drape your jacket or sweater over your shoulders. It’s a great accent piece, plus it comes in handy when it gets chilly, especially at night.
Now let’s talk shoes and accessories! It is always good to pack a variety of shoes. Sandals are obviously a must. For some versatile and cute sandals, I love these criss cross slide sandals and these metallic sandals. For something more vacation fun, I love these raffia slide sandals. Don’t be afraid to add color! You definitely need a good walking shoe, and these eyelet espadrilles are cute and comfortable. A vacation packing must is are straw bags. This straw tote bag makes a great everyday bag as well as a carry on bag, plus it goes with everything. For something fun, I love this pink striped straw bag. Another must is a stylish straw hat and sunglasses. A hat can elevate any casual look. Don’t forget about jewelry! You need earrings, bracelet stacks, and bangles.
Accessories packing tip: Maximize your packing space by packing your jewelry and accessories inside your handbags. Also, wear your hat when traveling so it doesn’t get flattened.
I hope this helped you for how to pack for a weekend getaway! Now that my packing list is done, time to plan my next weekend getaway.
