Recently, I shared with y’all my style tips for a classic look in this blog post. So you know that I prefer to keep my looks simple and stylish with classic and versatile pieces. One of the most versatile pieces in my closet is always a white tee and a black tee like this. I pair them with everything from jeans to shorts and skirts every season. So today I’m sharing how to wear a black tee…
My black tee comes in 15 colors, including white here. It makes for a great basic and is actually UNDER $20! I wear it at least once a week, as it’s quite comfortable and goes with anything and everything. There’s a range of ways to wear a tee, such as knotted with a midi skirt and booties in the fall or denim shorts and sandals in the summer. It’s also ideal to pair back to statement pieces like these pants because it will let them really shine. But right now, here are two of my favorite ways on how to wear a black tee:
How to Wear a Black Tee
1. Tucked and Belted
I first tucked this black tee into skinny jeans and finished it with my Hermes statement belt. Typically, I tend to do a “two finger tuck” or front tuck like I discussed in this post, but I thought a full tuck would be more waist-defining and flattering for this outfit. I kept it casual with the mule slides and incorporated my go-to investment handbag – the Goyard St. Louis tote. And of course, I always top off my look with simple jewelry like this.
2. Relaxed with a Color Pop
The second way I styled this is perfect for the transition into fall. It’s relaxed, yet chic just by loosening up the tee and leaving it untucked. I kept it tonal with my black denim jacket and black booties. The shoes are so unique, right? They also come in nude. I love how they add some subtle interest to my outfit. Then lastly, I added a pop of color with my new Officina del Poggio purse. I’ve talked about this brand many times like in this recent post. My purse doesn’t seem to be available, but you can shop some similar gorgeous Italian handbags from the designer here.
