Black cashmere turtleneck dress / Over-the-knee boots (on SALE – 40% OFF!) / Tights / Python handbag; old (similar here and for less here) / Bracelets / Sunglasses / Lips: Tom Ford Spanish Pink / Scotchgard Protector
I’ve often wondered at what age are over-the-knee boots not appropriate. It’s such a hot trend this winter. My philosophy is if it looks good and makes you feel great – wear it! Maybe the answer is in how you wear them. Today we’re exploring wearing all black with over-the-knee boots. Does it work?
I found this black cashmere turtleneck dress a while back and paired it with black tights and these over-the-knee boots (now on major SALE). To break it up, I’m carrying a python bag, letting the pattern separate the black on black. What makes this look work, especially for my age group is that I’m not showing a lot of leg and skin. The gap between the hem of the dress and the top of the boot is small. These boots would also be fabulous with skinny jeans (denim color or white) and a longer knit top or sweater. If your boots (or shoes) are suede or nubuck use this spray to protect them before you wear them. I’ll explore that look next and cover it in a blog post.
If you’re still holiday shopping today and tomorrow you need to ship with next day air to guarantee arrival on Saturday. There’s still time to shop my holiday gift guides and make some last-minute selections. For those of you waiting until now to shop, you are making me nervous!
Get ready to read each and every blog post next week. I’m going to be doing a bunch of giveaways to end 2016!
Cheers! xoxo – Tanya

Please show us a nude or beige boot
Am seeing quite a few women here in Scottsdale wearing them with skinny jeans white or faded blue
Will be watching for your scotchguard tips this will motivate me to buy a lighter color boot
Merry Christmas!
Kris-
These exact boots come in a nude color too.
Scotchgard- Spray your shoes and boots as soon as you get them. Be sure to spray outside as it is a bit strong. Let dray for at least 24 hours.
