It’s no secret that I love a good facial. I’ve covered numerous treatments on this site over the six years I’ve been blogging. BEAUTY is one of the topics that really resonates with my audience. Probably because I am always in the pursuit of the fountain of youth. Aesthetic procedures, spa treatments, skincare, make-up, hair care and more. When I was approached to try the LED Facial at Eleven Wellness, I was intrigued. Does it work? Let’s find out. Plus, there’s a little GIVEAWAY on the blog today…
Before we get started, I want to share that Eleven Wellness just moved and has a NEW home. They are now in Preston Center – 6117 Berkshire Ln, Dallas, Texas 75225 (next to Rock n’ Roll Sushi). There’s a parking garage directly in front of them so you will find ample parking. You will find plenty of blog posts and reviews on my site about Eleven Wellness. Mariah Cuniff has done all of my Forma Facial and Forma Body treatments. Alison Tohlen, Julia Critelli and Tiffany Ingram have done numerous facials. Click her to see my thoughts on the Aquagold Facial, and click here for the Procell Microchanneling Facial. I’ve even done IV Therapy with them. So you might wonder why I’ve tried a new type of facial.
What is Light Therapy?
Originally researched and developed by NASA, low-level light therapy is the application of light energy to the body & tissue to help compromised cells regenerate. It produces a natural photobiochemical reaction similar to the process of plant photosynthesis, and has a wide range of beneficial applications across many medical fields, including the treatment of skin, muscle, joint and pain conditions. The light (photons) energy is absorbed by photoacceptors in the mitochondria and used to create adenosine triphosphate (ATP). The ATP produced then stimulates various metabolic processes which can result in the repair and regeneration of cell and tissue components. It increases the production of collagen & elastin, increases blood circulation and decreases inflammation. Phototherapy is known for its healing and anti-inflammatory properties and has a variety of applications across many medical fields.
The bottom line is – anti-aging! Any type of treatment that is going to promote the production of collagen is good news to me. Julia Critelli was my medical aesthetician for the LED Facial. Actually, what I had that day was the Customized Facial with the Red Light LED add on. The reason for this is that my skin is extra dry in the winter and not only did I need a deep cleaning (bring on all the steam), I also needed a lot of TLC with moisture, creams, gels and masks. Basically, I just let them assess me when I get there and trust that the result will be magnificent. It always is!
The result is the immediate gratification of glowing skin! Also, if you are having any breakouts, the Red Light LED promotes healing. I highly recommend this amazing facial (and all services) at Eleven Wellness.
GIVEAWAY ALERT: One lucky subscriber will WIN a Customized Facial + Red Light LED treatment at Eleven Wellness. Simply leave a comment on today’s blog post and tell me WHY you are in much need of a little TLC. All entries must be received by Sunday, February 16 at 11:59 PM. Winner will be announced on the blog next week. Good Luck!

P.S. This luxury tee is from a new brand I just discovered called Livotte London. The style I’m wearing is the Christy.
Why I need the facial? As time marches on those fine lines are becoming not so fine. Plus, who doesn’t love being pampered?
30 came in like a wrecking ball and this girl is in MUCH need of a facial!! I’ve heard such great things about Eleven Wellness and cant wait to try them out!
I would love this treatment . I have had a few health issues and now over with them and want to pamper me.
New empty nester that has woken up to discover my desperate need of some anti- aging miracles!
Because I spent way too much of my life NOT taking care of my face!
I need a facial, because raising two crazy boys is starting to show in my face!! Mama needs some ME time!
There is nothing like a facial to make someone look and feel their best; especially this time of year!!!
I desperately need a facial to help with everything on the list!
Dry skin, hyperpigmentation, fine line and wrinkles, large pores!!!
Please help me!
OMG – my poor winter skin is in need of some serious TLC! Also, I am going to the MOB in September so trying to “whip myself into shape” top to bottom!!!
Would love a little TLC in the form of a facial.
Oh my, my poor skin, I have lost over 100 lbs and my face took the hit. Wrinkles that I never thought I would have appeared overnight, right along with the large pores.
Almost 60 and it seems like I’m aging overnight– little wrinkles, dry skin and darker spots. I tried a hydro facial but didn’t seem to notice any changes. It was super relaxing though so I’d love to try this type of facial– just in time to meet my new granddaughter with that soft baby skin we all lust after!!
I need a facial because I am 57 and just got a pimple on my nose! Argh! Does it ever stop?
Would LOVE to try this!!! I am always looking for ways to help my sagging and aging skin. Somehow at 53 it just kind of snuck up on me a year ago! Even considering a facelift – yikes!
I was sitting here thinking about my dry skin when I saw your post. I am in need of THIS facial. Glad they are now in Preston Center.
I would love a facial. At my age my skin is dry, (67) today being my birthday I would love some beauty treatment.
I need a facial — dry skin in the winter also the need to get rid of the fine line and dark spots — and of course who doesn’t need a good facial!!
I love eleven wellness, but cannot go as often as I need to. Especially in the winter my skin gets dry and with school and stress, I always need the relaxation and skin support that comes from a facial
Well I lost my dad 7 months ago and think it has aged me. Plus I’m turning 49…eek in a month. So I need a to take a page out of Cher’s playbook – If I could turn back time!! I really need a boost! That would be absolutely fabulous!
I’m so glad to know about this great spot in Dallas!!! I was JUST thinking that I need to find a new place for regular facials! Thank you for the excellent info!
I would love to try the Red Light LED treatment with the facial.
Brand new mom with the exhaustion to prove it. Would love this facial!
I am so glad to know about this spot! We just moved back to DFW after a 7 year hiatus! Momma needs this!!!❤️
My winter skin needs help!
Actually, I would love to win this for my mom. She doesn’t treat herself as much as she should. This would be a great treat!
I majorly need this! I’m 2 months out from having a baby and trying to get my skin healthy again after taking a 9 month break from using strong/medical-grade skincare products! Majorly need a little TLC too 🙂
Would be great since my birthday is 2/20 and I will be 57! And recovering from a broken collar bone #old
This sounds wonderful. I would love to win. I just applied to grad school after almost 10 years of being out of school. What a great way to prep for big life changes.
I would love to try this facial because I have three boys and this mama needs some “me time.”
I have PTBD….Pre Traumatic Birthday Disorder. I am turning 70 next week. It even hurts to type it.
My 59 year old skin is looking for a new facial! Much needed is additional and deeper moisturizing and brightening. Cannot wait to try a Eleven.
