Today I’m taking over Modern Luxury Magazine’s Instagram feed and showing you all my favorite spots in Inwood Village. So I thought I would tell you about it here on the blog as well. Join me for a day of some of the most amazing retail shopping and the best spot of happy hour.
I love Inwood Village because it has everything you need – retail shops, restaurants, grocery shopping and specialty stores. When Modern Luxury Magazine asked me to pick a few of my favorites and feature them on an Instagram takeover, it was really hard to narrow it down. You will frequently find me at Trader Joe’s, Saint Bernard, Inwood Village Theater, I Heart Yogurt, Berry Naked, Rise, Starbucks, Empire Baking Co. and Wisteria. But today, I’m featuring 5 shops and telling you what I like about them.
ULTA: Beauty products are some of my favorite things to review and cover on my blog. That makes ULTA my go-to source for the latest and greatest items. Make-up, hair care products and beauty items are always in stock. Need to try something new? You’ll find it there. My readers depend on me to try products and give my 100% honest feedback on the blog. ULTA makes it easy for me.
J. Hilburn: OK, this store is genius. If you haven’t heard of J. Hilburn you don’t know what you’re missing. The store in Inwood Village is a place where their sales reps can meet clients and help with custom designed suits, shirts and all your good lookin’ guys needs. Who says that luxury wear has to be limited to women? The sales team will help you through every detail of your custom design. And you man will look like a million bucks!
Mary Cates and Co.: This home decorative store has the most amazing selections of interior goods. Need a new bed or dining room table that’s unique? You’ll find here. Their beds are even made up with the most comfortable bedding and pillows. Obviously, I got really cozy while I was there. Be sure to check out the huge selection of pillows at the back of the store. Their team makes the decorative process easy.
RAW by Canines First: Don’t forget about your furry friends. I know that Max and Sparky are so happy that I discovered RAW. No, I haven’t adopted a new dog. This is Tessa and she belongs to the owner of RAW. He is the most knowledgeable person about nutrition, dog food and dogs. Y’all, they even deliver your dog food to your home (within the city of Dallas)! Talk about service.
Mesero: What can I say? I’ve been going to Mesero since the day it opened. Not only is it great for lunch and dinner but happy hour with friends too. They have the most delicious menu and mouth-watering cocktails. Mico and his team do an incredible job at all of their Tex-Mex restaurants but Mesero remains my favorite.A huge thank you to Destin and Katherine for joining me for happy hour!
Whew! What a fun day! What’s your favorite place to frequent in Inwood Village? xoxo-Tanya
Bar Method is there too!
I love Mary Cates too
Yes they are. Good catch!

Hi, Tanya – I’m coming to Dallas tomorrow with my husband, who has business there. I’d love to get a recommendation for a nail salon where I don’t need an appointment. We are staying at the Renaissance, but I’m planning on shopping at HPV (and w this post now I’d like to go to Inwood, too). Any ideas? Thanks!!
