Gosh, how is it already March 25th? While we are at it, how is it the year 2019? Do you ever do that? Wonder how we already got here? It makes the quote “The days are long, but the years are short” really ring true. I know I’ve been feeling that way lately so let’s spend today getting caught up. I have so much to tell you.
Today, I have some sad news, good news, Instagram round-up pics and I’m taking this opportunity just to get caught up with you. After all, this is our “coffee time” where I tell you what’s happening in my world. So grab a large cup of joe and let’s get started.
Let’s get the sad news out of the way. If you follow me on any of my social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), you already know this. Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to Ralph at the end of last week. We are absolutely heartbroken to say the least. It’s a very long story but the short version is that he was back at Operation Kindness being treated by their vets because we couldn’t figure out what was wrong. While he seems happy and was eating like a normal kitten, he was lethargic and not gaining weight. Ruby Lou was running circles around him. After a week of observation, testing and lab work, it was determined that he had the coronavirus/FIP. This is fatal in cats. I’m just now able to talk about it without crying hysterically. In hindsight, he most likely had the virus when we adopted him and it only became worse as time went on. I’ve been a cat owner and have had fur babies all my life and I have never heard of FIP. Our animals give us unconditional love and I hope Ralph felt the love we gave him although he was only with us for a short time. Now we are keeping a close eye on Ruby Lou – so far she seems fine. The kittens adoption story can be read here.THANK YOU for all of your prayers and kind words – I read every single one of them and it means the world to me!
Good news! TanyaFoster.com – a lifestyle blog has grown so much over the past 5 years that I made the decision to hire a permanent assistant! This was a HUGE decision for me because I am a one woman show over here. Even though I have had wonderful interns and temporary assistants before (they all sought me out and pitched working for me – Tori, Brooke and Laura), this one is a dedicated part-time position. I am introducing her on the blog later this week so I don’t want to give too much away… I know you will love her as much as I do!
Instagram Round-Up: Sometimes I take quick outfit pics that actually never get published anywhere. Occasionally, they will get uploaded into the LikeToKnow.it app (follow @tanyafosterblog) if you SHOP from your phone. LTK is the affiliate link app I use to link everything I am talking about in an Instagram picture. It is the exact same company/system as rewardStyle which is how I link items on this blog for you. If you think about it, it’s a “pass through” link which connects me directly to the item and allows me to link it, enabling you to simply click the link (bold word or picture) and shop with ease. It costs you nothing to SHOP with me via these links and you get directly to the source. BRILLIANT!
IGTV Daily Make-Up: I got so much great feedback from doing this that I think I might do some more. What would you like to see? Please leave a comment on the blog today and let me know. Also, I left color and product details in the comment of the IGTV video answering any questions I got. Lesson learned by doing that tutorial – know all the product colors and say them out loud during the video. I just ordered some new products from Sephora and the color details are beneath the picture (below).
Surprise Beauty Boxes are in the mail! I picked EIGHT winners last week. You heard right – EIGHT! I was feeling super generous that day. If you are new to this site – listen up. I reward my SUBSCRIBERS! I appreciate that you are subscribed to my blog and take the time to read the daily blog post. That is no small feat and I totally get it. That is who should be rewarded! Not to say that I don’t appreciate you following me on social media – I DO! Sometimes, I give a little extra perk on Instagram! Congratulations to Gaby C., Julie P., Kelly R., Shelly G., Carol E., Gigi R., Clarissa S. and Bernadine D.! What did they do to WIN? They left a comment on this blog post. Usually I pick 1 WINNER but I decided to reward all 8 of them. All you have to do is read the full blog post and follow the instructions. It’s so easy. 🙂
There’s so much great content coming this week so you don’t want to miss a thing. Thanks for being here. I truly appreciate it!
xoxo – Tanya
P.S. I’m working on a FAQ page for this site. It will list my height, sizes and anything else you want to know E-mail me here and let me know what else you would like to see on the FAQ page.

This is such a great transition look for spring. Simple, clean and the cardigan is a lightweight french terry. Great for a long flight because it’s warm for chilly airplanes and comfy enough to sleep in.
I just ordered some new products and some replacement items from Sephora. My order just came in so I thought I would show you what I got. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream (it’s a fabulous moisturizer you put on before your base), Chanel Allure (o’ve been wearing this scent for over 20 years), Nars Voyager Eyeshadow Mini Palette in color SUEDE, Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil in color French Lace (this is the white pencil I use on the inside of my eyes), Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner in color PILLOW TALK, Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in color KIM K.W.
For the perfect nude lip, I layer 4 products in this order: 1) Charlotte Tilbury Lip Liner in color PILLOW TALK 2) Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Lips Liquid Lipstick in color RISING STAR (this is a beautiful color by itself too – it’s like a lip stain), 3) Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in color KIM K.W. and 4) Chanel Rouge Coco Glossimer in color #744 SUBTIL
I talk about how to make the perfect nude lip by using all of these products in the IGTV video (click here to watch).
Need an easy casual look? This black denim jacket has served me well. It’s even cute over a maxi dress. I am wearing size SMALL.
A denim jacket doesn’t mean it has to be blue. This one that I just found and shot last week with my photographer is in a beautiful snake skin print. Wait until you see it on. But you might want to grab it now!
Ruby Lou is adjusting to getting all of the attention. Can you tell?
I’m absolutely in love with the brand Lafayette148 and wear so may of their clothes. These white wax jeans go perfectly with this leather jacket and white linen shirt. I need to straighten up my closet before I shoot these selfie pics. Yikes!
I’ve had these amazing Joie Okana Skinny Cargo Pants for a couple of years and I love them. Guess what – they’re still available! They fit true to size and are machine washable. Dress them up with some heels or casual like I did here. True fact: This is the only green I own in my closet.
RIP sweet Ralph. We will meet you at at the Rainbow Bridge.
