Last week Laura and I went to Palm Beach again and absolutely loved it! It was our second annual TanyaFoster.com retreat and since we can work from anywhere, why not work from lovely location with plenty of sunshine and palm trees? Today we are sharing our complete Palm Beach travel guide to help you book a future trip. We have covered everything from where to stay, where to eat, what to do and more. We went during the off season, so now is the perfect time to book your trip for fall or winter, otherwise known as “the season”. Your luxury Florida destination awaits you. Get ready to order a grasshopper and dress in your best ala Palm Royale!
Palm Beach, Florida is a town in South Florida, separated from the mainland by the Lake Worth Lagoon. It’s known for its glitzy estates and its beaches, including the long, sandy Palm Beach Municipal Beach. Worth Avenue is lined with upscale boutiques, galleries and restaurants. Art and antique furnishings are displayed at the Henry Morrison Flagler Museum, inside the hotel and railroad tycoon’s huge Gilded Age mansion. Over 43 billionaires have homes in Palm Beach with a population only around 10,000 that encompasses less than 4 square miles.
How to Get There
Getting to Palm Beach is super easy. We took a non-stop American flight from DFW to Palm Beach International (PBI) Airport. It’s just over a two hour flight. We then took an Uber from the airport to Palm Beach, which was only about a 15 minute drive. While you can rent a car to explore the surrounding areas, we found Palm Beach to be easy to navigate by walking, riding a bike and taking Uber.

Where to Stay
Laura and I stayed at a private residence, but there are many great hotels. We stayed on Palm Beach, but you could also stay in West Palm Beach. Here are some of our top hotel recommendations for Palm Beach. Addition: Pete and I have stayed at The Colony Hotel and loved it. You can’t beat the location and it was recently updated.

Where to Eat
Breakfast & Coffee Shops
Chik-Monk Cafe – The owners are lovely and it’s a local hot spot. Fresh baked pastries are brought in early each morning. The coffee is delicious! Tell David & Nandini that we said ‘hello’. Launched in 2019.
Main Street Market – light breakfast market and great coffee located in the cutest gift store. We enjoyed coffee and a muffin here one morning while perusing the store. I was told they also have amazing egg sandwiches.
Surf Side – an old school diner breakfast. Open all 8 AM – 2:30 PM daily.
Green’s Pharmacy – A cute old school pharmacy and diner. We had a fabulous diner breakfast here on our first morning in Palm Beach.
Field of Greens – Healthy breakfast spot with great coffee and a juice bar. They also have great salads and wraps for lunch. Be sure and get the BFO Cookie in the cooler. Yum!
Lunch
Swifty’s at The Colony Hotel – Enjoy lunch outside by the pool and then shopping on Worth Avenue. Excellent for lunch or dinner. Great location and Instagram worthy!
Honor Bar – One of my favorite lunch spots in Dallas is also in Palm Beach. Consistently good.
Le Bilboquet – Great outdoor patio and amazing French-inspired food. We have one in Dallas and it’s one of my favorites.
Seafood Bar at The Breakers – The ambiance is unreal! They have incredible views of the ocean and fish swimming in the bar. Yep, the bar is a fish tank! Perfect for happy hour in the bar too.
Henry’s Palm Beach – We had a great lunch here on our final day. They have amazing salads (pictured above)! Plus there is great shopping nearby.
Sant Ambroeus– Darling outside and inside Italian restaurant! Not only was their food amazing, but it’s also a great place to stop by for afternoon coffee and cake post shopping.They have great sandwiches and we ordered the most amazing cake. We paired this lunch with the nearby outdoor shopping center. This was one of our favorite spots! We also enjoyed brunch and it was equally delicious. Instagram worthy pics!
Dinner
Renato’s – The most delicious Italian food! We went here on our second night and loved it. Gorgeous indoor seating with a live piano player! They also have a beautiful patio option for cooler months. The ambiance is old world and so charming. Romantic for a date night!
The Italian Restaurant – Super chic Italian restaurant. This is where the locals go to eat.
Pizza Al Fresco – Old school, casual, famous pizza place on Worth Ave. for a casual pizza night. Their pasta is delicious too. Same owners as Renato’s.
BICE– Incredible Italian food in an upscale, elegant setting. It has a lively bar on the weekends.
Cafe L’Europe– Old school upscale Palm Beach restaurant with delicious food and a live piano player. It is a great date night spot. Laura and I enjoyed cocktails at the bar before heading to dinner.
Cafe Boulud – Daniel Boulud’s upscale French restaurant. They have the best dover sole.
Lola 41 at the White Elephant Hotel – Fabulous cocktails! They offer a variety of menu options, but we ordered the sushi and loved it. Everything was delicious!
HMF at the Breakers – Upscale sushi bar with excellent cocktails. Go there to meet friends for drinks.
Imoto – A smaller restaurant owned by Buccan with incredible sushi.
PB Catch– Simple and yummy seafood. We had a delicious dinner and enjoyed seafood, of course.
Palm Beach Grill – Casual, New American dinner spot.
BrickTops – Upscale New American restaurant. Perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner. They have great salad and sushi. Pete and I enjoyed lunch outside.
Buccan– The hippest restaurant in Palm Beach. Probably one of the best dinners we had. Great scene and very chic atmosphere.
Grocery Stores
Amici Market – It’s like a mini Eatzi’s. They have pre-made food, plus an assortment of snacks, wine and cheese. A beautiful emporium.
Publix – I wish we had one in Dallas! The deli sandwiches are a must and are known as “pub subs“. Trust me, just get one. The Italian sub was our favorite. There’s just something about the fresh baked bread. YUM! Also, we got our groceries for the week here and I have to say – its the cleanest grocery store I’ve ever been to. A follower of mine DM me to go back and get the key lime pie. Boy howdy, was she right. So fresh!

What to Do
Go to the beach and explore. Palm Beach is a great walking town and it’s easy to get around. Put your toes in the sand!
Walk the Lake Trail – Lovely place for a walk or bike ride. The trail is 5 1/2 miles long.
The Colony Hotel – Sunday nights from 5:30 – 7:00 PM is Bingo Night. Monday nights from 5:30 – 7:00 PM is Trivia Night. Reservations needed for both (561) 801-7429. These events are held outside near the pool and people are dressed in chic attire. Cocktails and lite bites available. You can win a prize!
Par-3 Golf Course – Everyone’s favorite place to golf. It has a gorgeous beach view. Plus, it does not require a membership.
The Church of Bethesda-By-The Sea – Beautiful and famous Episcopal church with gorgeous gardens. We loved walking through and admiring the architecture.
Walk around The Breakers Palm Beach– Every ballroom is beautiful, plus there is amazing shopping. They have the cutest coffee shop in a courtyard that always has fresh flowers in front. Fantastic restaurants!
Society of the Four Arts – Gorgeous botanical garden with lots of different speakers, programs, art classes, etc. Check their calendar for events happening while you are there.
Henry Morrison Flagler Museum – We loved this museum! It is a great way to learn about the history of Palm Beach. They have a fantastic, self-paced audio tour. This was Henry Morrison Flagler’s home – Whitehall, built and enjoyed during the Gilded age for “the season”.
Norton Museum of Art – Fantastic art museum located on West Palm Beach.
Cucina – The best place to go out dancing. Thursday, Friday and Saturday are the dancing nights.
Flagship Yacht Charters – Take a luxury yacht through the Intracoastal Waterway.
Cruisin Tikis Tour – A fun way to cruise around Palm Beach! They have three different cruise options.
Self-Care Day at Anushka – Amazing hair salon if you want to get a blowout or enjoy the spa.
Workout at LaBarre – Fabulous mat pilates/barre classes.
Shopping
Lilly Pulitzer – The is the original Palm Beach flagship location.
Julia Amory – Beautiful women’s fashion store on County Road.
Lori Jayne Palm Beach – located on County Road
The Kemble Shop – Bright prints and eclectic
Michelle Farmer Collaborate – Super cute boutique with lots of private labels. We loved!
Fivestory Palm Beach – They sell gorgeous hand-painted bags, cute clothes, plus they have a great vintage section.
Royal Poinciana Way & Plaza – So many little shops, plus larger designer labels like Zimmerman and Hemes. Great shops to stroll through and enjoy!
Stroll Worth Ave – Two blocks of high-end designer stores. It is also super close to the ocean and scenic clock tower photo that everyone must have! Be sure and head into all of the shops behind the stores. There is a whole second set of stores off of the main road that you can not even see from Worth. Marina St. Barth and BiBi’s Boutique are so cute!
Lycette – Everyone’s favorite needlepoint shop. It is a classic. I don’t needlepoint but it looks spectacular.
Dixie Highway Antique Row – Tons of antique shopping in West Palm Beach
Hive Collective – Super cute home furnishings and clothing store. They also have a bakery and cafe attached. It has a similar feel to Magnolia Market in Waco. This is the only time we went across the bridge to West Palm Beach. I got some fantastic napkin rings.
Day Trip
West Palm Beach Train Station – If you have extra time and want to take a day trip, then take the Brightline train to Miami. It is brand new, super clean and they serve you snacks and drinks. It’s about an hour and 20 minutes to Miami. People will take it to just go to dinner, Heat games, museums, etc. Pete and I took it from Fort Lauderdale to palm Beach after this trip.
Also how gorgeous is the sunset? Another thing you have to see while in Palm Beach!
Want to know what to wear in Palm Beach? Think Lilly Pulitzer, palm prints, flowy dresses and chic. Everyone dresses for lunch and dinner. No slob kabobs here.

Palm Beach is really beautiful. It is definitely the lifestyle of the rich and famous. I have had the opportunity to see art shows at galleries and attend other events in Palm Beach. I always spend the day shopping. The beach is as beautiful as others have described. Of course, I had to wander along the beach to admire the mansions. I’m sorry to say that Manhattan cannot compare to the lifestyle and atmosphere of Palm Beach. It’s a great place to vacation if you can afford it. Unfortunately, I don’t have any family living there. If I did, I would definitely visit in the winter!.
