Mid-Week Musings | Vol. 9

How is everyone’s week going so far? Yesterday was my birthday, so I am feeling extra grateful for another year of life. It is crazy to think that last year at this time we were staying at The Dunmore in Harbour Island, Bahamas. Wow! I know we keep saying that everything has changed so much, but it really is true. This has been an unpredictable year, but I still have so much to be thankful for. Today we have another Mid-Week Musings, and in celebration of another year of life, I wanted to create a list of Tanya’s Favorite Things (cue Julie Andrews from The Sound of Music singing My Favorite Things). Read the following to the tune of this beloved classic song.

Tanya’s Favorite Things

Fresh cozy bed sheets and this chic cocktail chair
Cute baby Yoda and warm cozy loungewear
These lace up hiker boots tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things

Cream colored sweaters, this bracelet with jewels
Nest candles, handbags and these Keto noodles
When I play chess and win with the king
These are a few of my favorite things

Chic sweater dresses with wool coats and booties
Lipstick, concealer and make-up for beauty
Face masks and bath robes and beautiful rings
These are a few of my favorite things

When bad news breaks
A pulled hamstring
Or I’m feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don’t feel so bad

Now I will be humming Tanya’s Favorite Things all day long. I want to give credit where credit is due. My fabulous assistant Laura came up with the tune idea and the great list.
