I’ll be 100% honest with you. I’m not sure I like this look – on me. It’s because I have this love/hate relationship with white shoes. Does anyone else do this? Let’s explore and dig a little deeper into my fashion issue…
You know that whole “white” rule that was engrained in us since we were little girls. “No white before Easter and never after Labor Day!” Well, that’s a really dated fashion rule that no one lives by anymore. I wear white denim year round and love it. But I have never loved white shoes. Flats, sneakers, high heels, you name it. I’m not even sure WHY I don’t like them. Maybe they don’t look good on me. So I thought I would give it a try with this outfit. Does it work? Normally I would have styled a neutral heel with this (like in this blog post). But I pushed through my boundaries and chose the white one (currently on major SALE!). They would also be pretty with a dress. By the way, this shoe also comes in a flat and it’s really pretty!
Truth be told, I shot this look about two months ago and completely forgot about it. This is a good casual look that can be worn anywhere. Now that the temperatures are rising, you can probably leave the jacket at home. Some of these items are sold out but I will link similar choices for you. I’ve also found several pairs of white shoes that I really like so I am linking those as well.
The jury is out. Do you like the white shoes? Leave a comment below. xoxo – Tanya

I feel the same way about white shoes-just can’t go there!
I agree! No white shoes. Does not matter how small your feet are, I think white shoes always make your feet look larger.
I don’t think I have ever owned a pair of white shoes. I agree with you; I just don’t like them.
I tend to like white shoes better if they have darker piping, a metallic buckle or some other non-white detail.
I only where white sandals with white jeans or a white/navy striped skirt I have. They blend out, and elongate the line…any other use, and they stop your leg line, making you look shorter .
I love my white shoes with white jeans or capris. Have a few pair in fact.
What I hate is seeing white shoes that are scuffed or dirty… they must be pristine! Otherwise, why?
I agree, not a fan of white shoes, but this look is good on you. My bigger dilemma is a white dress–deathly afraid of those. Either they are too thin and you can see undergarments or they never fit right…
These look good on you, but I agree, I tend to shy away from them. I have a pair of all white Converse and whenever I wear them, I feel like a nurse! And now my 20-year-old daughter is wearing these flat white slides everywhere. I think they’re godawful but they seem to be very on trend with that crowd. To me a white shoe works best when it has an embellishment or another color as an accent.
You must be traumatized by the white keds and crazy white boots of drill team!
I love white adidas sneakers, or white canvas converse. I’ve even been persuaded to consider the White patent boots that rag & Bone had out recently… haven’t succumbed yet. White sandles, though – can’t get into them.
Nope, I won’t wear white shoes. I was traumatized one time and swore I would never wear them again. Keds, Adidas, tennis shoes, yes, but other white shoes, no. I once bought a pair of very expensive white wedges that I was so proud of and one of my son’s friends stated, “Oh, I didn’t know your mother was a nurse”. I was so crushed. I have nothing against nurses, but I thought I was so fashionable and felt so pretty in my new white shoes but I never felt comfortable wearing them again. I get ya.
I love this shoes! The shoes are so cool!
White shoes always represent formal and unique styles. I have white wing shoes and It’s looking good whenever I used them. Great choice!
