Do you ever need fun Novelty Gifts, an Ugly Christmas Sweater or some fun toys for children? I’ve got some great selections on the blog today that make excellent gifts and stocking stuffers. There’s a surprise GIVEAWAY today!
I was recently asked to do a video on how easy it is to order online and do in-store pick up for holiday gift shopping. It’s always fun to create videos along with my standard photo’s that go into my daily blog posts. I’m including it below but I am also linking everything I talked about in the video.
Kids and Grandkids are always so fun to shop for! Our tradition is to not wrap any of the Grandkids gifts because “Santa” leaves them under the tree after he comes down the chimney. Every Christmas morning the Grandkids run into the room to see what Santa brought them. It’s so fun to watch their expressions. We did this with all of our children when they were little too.
GIVEAWAY: What holiday traditions do you have in your home? Leave a comment below because one lucky winner will be receiving a SURPRISE gift box in time for Christmas!
MORE GIVEAWAY’S: Want to WIN $100 Gift Certificate to JC Penney? There are two GIVEAWAY’S on social media. Click here for the one on FACEBOOK. Click here for the one on INSTAGRAM. You can enter all of the giveaways. Good Luck!

We all go to target and pick out silly stocking stuffers for each of our family members. We have fun explaining the joke items and Christmas morning!
Baking cookies, going to drive and look at Christmas lights, and watching every single Christmas movie we can find! We also do a devotional called a meaningful Christmas with ornaments daily. I guess we have a lot! Haha
We have a pickle ornament that is hidden in the tree! Whoever finds it on Christmas morning is one that wears the Santa hat and gives the gifts out to open!
We also do the pickle ornament tradition! I usually like to find a gift the entire family can enjoy together (not just the pickle ornament “finder”) – like a game or movie…
We put everyone in the car with hot chocolate and drive around looking at Christmas lights!
My wife’s birthday is on 12/25 so we do all our Christmas Gift opening on Christmas Eve so we can sleep in on Christmas day and then celebrate “Mommy’s Birthday”. On Christmas Eve we typically go to a church service in the afternoon and come home and eat Lobster and other amazing foods that night before opening presents! 🙂
Santa fills stockings for every person in my family. He always includes a novelty item and an age-appropriate book, because reading is one of his passions. After we open gifts, we have a pancake breakfast prepared by a co-ed team of multiple generations.
I love waking up eating breakfast as a family then opening gifts in our Christmas pajamas !
The stockings are always filled late on Christmas Eve so the surprises are there Christmas Morning.
Our family gathers on Christmas Eve we have dinner And go to a midnight mass. After mass we go back to our home and open presents that go from our tree all the way to the front door of my mothers home! We are a big family. After the fun we go back home with my family and wait until Christmas Day to open our gifts from Santa!!
Every time someone leaves a family gathering, everyone that is still there goes to the front porch or outside the front door and sings Jingle Bells until the person leaving gets in their car and drives away. It’s a nice little holiday send off, and of course after the phrase in the song “laughing all the way”, everyone has to say “ha ha ha”!
Our Christmas traditions are opening our stockings Christmas eve. Every year our local library has the mitten tree so we try to give back by putting items on there for the kids. I try to give back as well so I’ve to go to the local Wal-Mart so we can give back for toys for tots. Christmas breakfast is the best tradition next to making cookies for Santa with my niece. Apparently he likes m&m cookies
Christmas is a good time for memories. We bake cookies; drive around and look at the Christmas lights; all put on new pajamas on Christmas Eve and read the “Night Before Christmas”. We also let the kids open one present on Christmas Eve. I love all the gifts you chose, so fun and so merry. We also don’t wrap the presents to Santa. It’s so fun seeing the kids coming around the corner to see the surprises. They always worried if they were naughty or nice.
Change is hard. We will be coming to our sons house in
Dallas for the first time so we can see our 3 precious grandchildren see what Santa brings. Santa never wraps.
Merry Christmas.
We open gifts on Christmas Eve night. Mom has been cooking for days preparing for the extended family on Christmas Day. So… we either have chili dogs or pizza so there’s little prep and limited cleanup.
We give our 5 year old a Christmas themed box to open on Christmas Eve which includes new holiday pajamas, hot cocoa mix, a Christmas movie to watch that night and new game for the whole family. Getting new pajamas on Christmas Eve was a tradition passed down from my mom and she makes sure I still get my pair every year.
We always do a Mexican food potluck after church on Christmas Eve.
Our family goes to Christmas Eve mass and you get to open one present that night. Then extended family comes to our house for brunch on Christmas Day and everyone wears their pj’s
We do a progressive dinner party with my family
Every year on Christmas Eve the kids and my husband bake a fresh batch of chocolate chip cookies for santa! Then they put out cookies and milk for santa. And oats or carrots for the reindeer.
I have continued a tradition started by mom years ago. Each year, our family picks out a new ornament with the date on it. We have one of our trees that holds each of these ornaments, along with other sentimental ornaments that we have picked up while traveling or that were gifts from friends and family.
Traditions: bake treats to give as gifts, watch old Christmas movies, listen to my dad’s old Christmas records, make a big pot of gumbo on Christmas day.
Our traditions are the Christmas lighting, Santa mall pictures, picking out our real tree, decorating the tree, decorating the house, lights up on the house, baking, watching Hallmark Christmas movies .
One tradition is my husband takes both my girls shopping for gifts for me and they go to dinner and drive by Christmas lights, their father/daughter tradition they look forward to every year!
