NEAT Method and The Container Store pantry organization

With all this time we have on our hands, why not reorganize your pantry, closets and storage areas? A couple of years ago I did a blog post on pantry organization and it really resonated with my audience. By popular demand, I am sharing it today with a few updates. Please be sure to get a good laugh at the overabundance of A-1 steak sauce. Enjoy!

I love goals! One of those things is being more organized… with my time, my blog and my life. So I decided to start with our home. Let me introduce you to NEAT Method and show you how they transformed my kitchen pantry utilizing items from The Container Store. This pantry organization is so simple yet makes a huge difference!

First of all, I am horrified to show you the before pictures of my pantry. It’s a hot mess! I mean, just look at the stuff everywhere, especially on the floor. Second, Pete must think there will be a shortage of canned food soon and he’s buying out the local grocery store. Bless his heart, if it’s on sale, he thinks we need it. At least he will go to the grocery store, a task which I hate to complete.

I reached out to NEAT Method because I had seen the results other people were getting. And I absolutely love The Container Store so this was a win-win! Co-Founded by Ashley Murphy and Molly Graves, NEAT Method is a “organization” company with operations across the country.

How it works: A NEAT Method representative will meet with you in your home for a short assessment to discuss your needs and organization priorities. They can organize just about anything including the following: Attics, Bathrooms, Bedrooms, Closet Organizing & Design, Garages, Holiday Prep & Storage, Home Office / Den, Kitchens & Pantries, Laundry Rooms, Mudroom, Nurseries / Kids Rooms, Space Planning & Arrangement and Storage Areas. After the consultation, you will get a proposal outlining each area and how many hours it will take to organize. Then they will make an appointment to complete the task. If anything is needed, they run to the store and get it for you. You do absolutely nothing!

My pantry organization took 4 hours. This is what they do (I did nothing but take the pictures). The first step is to empty your space and assess all the items. In the case of our pantry, they go through all the food products and make a separate pile of anything that is expired. You choose whether you want to put them back in the pantry (no, thank you!). Get this, they even haul it off for you! Next they add all the bins, baskets and storage items obtained at The Container Store and strategically organize the items back in to your space. Once they are done, they present the organized result to you. Can you just say WOW!

I believe one of the reasons we have 7 bottles of A-1 steak sauce is because we couldn’t see it. So every time we went to the grocery store we would pick one up. Or maybe Pete thought there was a buy one, get four for free sale. 🙂 Regardless, my kitchen pantry now looks beautifully curated and I can see every single thing. No overstocking happening here.

Here’s to an organized pantry and life!  xoxo- Tanya
