Happy 25th Anniversary to us! Our trip to Paris, France has been perfect and we have loved exploring the famous sites and discovering little places and neighborhoods. Our celebration dinner is tonight and I’ll add that to my recap travel post later. In the meantime, be sure to check out this cute outfit featuring this Velvet Bow Sweater. And, click though to see an adorable picture of us…
… or I should say, of the Palais-Royal building with a little smidgen of us. True story: While shooting this outfit at the Palais-Royal a nice man kept coming around and explaining the buildings to us in French. Pete and I don’t speak French but I guess he thought we needed information or directions. We politely asked if he would take our picture and he was delighted to. As he did, he kept telling us things and pointing to buildings. We just nodded and smiled. As he returned our iPhone to us we realized he was the building curator. Duh! He was proudly showing off his building and therefore our picture is mostly of his pride and joy.
Pete and I have been married for 25 years! The funny thing is we feel like its been about 10 years. How does the time go by that fast? He is the most patient, kind, loving, fun, happy, never meets a stranger, happy-go-lucky guy and I am so glad he loves me! Pete is the extrovert to my introvert. I recharge my batteries with alone time, he gets more energy by surrounding himself with others. He is supportive of anything I do and always my #1 fan. When I would chair an event for a non-profit he was my biggest cheerleader. While being a stay-at-home mom to our children, he was always Dad first while balancing running various companies over the years. If I am ever down or discouraged, he is quick to let me know I can do it. When I proclaimed that I was launching this blog in 2014, he said “way to go”! Failure is not in his vocabulary. Pete is 12 years older than me yet runs circles around me. When we got married I remember thinking “how am I going to keep up with this guy”?
As this blog has taken off, he has become my photographer as we travel. Listen, that is no small feat! I am constantly moving, giving shoot direction and criticizing his shot (mostly because of my body angles or weird expression) which usually leads to frustration yet he is still kind through the process. We are by no means the perfect couple (it’s not our first rodeo) but our love and most importantly, friendship has endured. For that I am grateful. I love him more and more each day!
Happy Anniversary Pete Foster. Here’s to 25 more! xoxo – Tanya
