I’m baaaack! Happy Monday! I’m hot off the rewardStyle Conference 2018 and I am more excited than ever about blogging and being an influencer. Today I’m sharing all the brand meetings I’m super excited about and what I learned. Oh, and check what I wore each day.
This was my 4th time to be invited and attend the annual rewardStyle Conference held in Dallas each spring. In case you need a little 411, rewardStyle is the affiliate link company that I partner with to connect you to items that I am talking about on the blog and social media. When you see a little picture of the item (widget) or a word that links, it’s because rewardStyle “links” the influencer (ME) to the retailer so that you can easily shop what I am talking about. Each year, they invite their TOP 200 producing influencers to attend conference. It’s a HUGE honor and I am thrilled to be included. YOU make that possible by being a loyal follower and shopping my links. THANK YOU!
What I wore each day: It’s a three-day conference of brand meetings, classroom sessions and mixers so you have to think stylish yet practical. Below you will see a picture with each days look. I’m linking you to everything I had on.
What I learned: Oh gosh, so much! Most of it is back-end stuff for my site and how to be a little more strategic with my readers. In fact, I might be sending you a survey to better understand who my reader is and what you want. For example, we learned that there is a HUGE increase in people reading blogs from their mobile devices and tablets. I write the daily blog on my desktop but you don’t necessarily read it from one. My site is mobile friendly but I want to make sure nothing gets lost. Stay tuned…
Who I met with: I’m so excited to share the new brands I met with and rediscover some familiar ones that have new product news. You will see a few below but others include Ann Taylor, Ebay Fashion (did you know that 81% of what is sold on Ebay is NEW merchandise?), Marc Fisher, Modcloth, MyTheresa, Sole Society, Sperry and Spell & The Gypsy.
Added bonus: Meeting new bloggers and reconnecting with friends! This industry is very singular. Everyone writes their own blog and works for themselves, usually from home. It can be lonely and highly competitive. Yes, there are caddy people in this industry just like in other industries. I steer clear of them and any drama they bring with them. For the most part, I find the bloggers who are nice and collaborative in nature. Surround yourself with those who make you better and bring something positive into your world! That’s my motto.
I got so much swag at the conference that I am going to give away a care package to one lucky reader. Just leave me a comment today and tell me WHY you read this blog. I need your input and suggestions!
Thanks for your support. It means the world to me! xoxo- Tanya
daily looks and details
On Thursday night, Supergoop! hosted a pool side opening night party. I’ve blogged about them before – you can read that post here. I wore this beautiful yellow Eliza J maxi dress and it was perfect for the evening. Bonus: My dress matched the Supergoop! balloons. Notice: I am wearing all my Julie Vos bracelets that you can see in this blog post. Have you entered the Mother’s Day GIVEAWAY?

Friday brought a full day of classroom sessions, brand meetings and a fun luncheon event. I chose this beautiful tweed jacket, white t-shirt and crop flare jeans all from Veronica Beard. Trendy, yet pulled together. I made it in my nude Valentino heels all day long and my feet were fine. I find having a large satchel bag for days like this very helpful. This Tory Burch one is a good option.

Saturday: More brand meetings, classroom sessions and another beautiful luncheon event. I ordered these Frame flare white jeans during the Shopbop sale specifically for this look. You have seen this white blouse (it also comes in light green) before with crop white denim last week in this blog post. Which way do you like it better? I found my Louis Vuitton cross body bag while in Paris, France on this trip.

I met with the L’Occitane team and got some exciting updates. Did you know they have an amazing hair care line? I’ve done a full blog post on L’Occitane before and you will be seeing them again. LOVE the stuff and it smells so good. The Lavande Lavender Foaming Bath smells so good that you will think you are running through a lavender field in Provence. I soaked in my tub last night and will be buying this in bulk!

tde. – it stands for The Daily Edited and its the coolest brand that makes amazing leather goods and bags. You can get them personalized in a super chic way. I love everything they make and I’m about to order a bag from them. They offer FREE shipping worldwide. Excellent, personalized gift ideas! Look at my cute new phone case.

I LOVE getting to meet with Colleen Rothschild each year. I actually get to sit down with Colleen and her husband and talk BEAUTY strategy for my blog. They are always genuinely interested in what my readers want. There is no better cleansing balm than the one from Colleen Rothschild. And if you have dry skin like I do, you want to nourish your skin. Check out the other products I love using.

Just a few of my fun blogger friends who I get to see at conference. From left to right- Lyndsey Zorich – L.Avenue, me, Lee Cordon of DoSayGive, Kathleen Jennings of Kathleen Jennings Beauty and Alicia Wood of The Lush List. All of them are great bloggers and the nicest girls!

Tanya, I read your Blog because You are Very relatable to me in your style, your interests, and the topics you cover . I think of you as my virtual friend. I like that you keep it real and that you share even the silly stuff, i.e., all those bottles of A-1 sauce in your pantry! My husband loved that! So, this is why I read your Blog!
Tanya
Love your blog, you are in my age group so I know when you recommend something it’s going to work for us baby boomers. I still want to be in style.
Your beauty posts are also useful
My favorite is your travels!
Most important keeping it real!
I read your blog because you keep me up to date on the latest looks for each season (and the latest products) but you also have a approachable style! You can tell this blog is a passion for you and it translates to the readers. Thank you!!
Hi Tanya, I started reading your blog a couple months ago and really look forward to my daily emails. Much of what you style is out of my budget but I love the way you put your looks together. You are always so classic looking and have a unique way of putting your looks together.
Thank you!
Your blog is the bright spot in my grueling office day. I peek over to it each am to get help with styling. Working in an office, it gets tough to get shopping and I look to you to find my own style for my age. I struggle with seeing cute, trendy items, but not wanting to corner myself there style-wise. Also, I’m in my 50s, so I want to mix enough current, age-appropriate items with some bend to the trends. Your blog helps me do all of that–so refreshing! Keep it up as I really appreciate you!
Thanks for this post, Tanya! Enjoyed seeing your outfits and appreciated your explanation of the event also! Re: White on white – I loved both looks – so different – amazing how the flared pants increase the elegant-factor. I have a similar blouse I got last year (Eileen Fisher) and am finding new ways to wear it! (Thanks!). Heading to NYC this week so REALLY appreciated these looks. (Stealing TWO!). I’m a bit older than you (Shhhhh!) but always feel I can trust your opinions for a look that suits me to a “T” as I try to keep my personal “look” relevant and simple! And you inspire me to shop my closet – wonderful items that I often forget I own. Thank you thank you!
Tanya,
Not only do you have an incredible sense of style, you are an incredible writer! You capture my attention with your word choice, cadence, and comments. Succinct, informative, and oh so fun! I admire you!!!
P.S. I ordered a black gown (open back with ruffle) based upon your recommendation and it was perfect! I wore it to a gala last week and received a ton of compliments. TY!
I love your blog for many reasons! You’re very down to earth and you have great style! I just turned 60 and I’m not ready to give up! You inspire me and keep me informed on style, beauty and your fun travels! I always look forward to your posts! Thank you so much!
Tanya,
I read your blog because it is always filled with so much informative goodies! From beauty, clothes, food, vitamins, clean ups and clean outs. I also love your travels and the info you provide. Your blog is always an exciting read. I would love to see more on shopping in your closet with what you have and taking a piece of clothing and wearing it 3 different ways. Thanks Tanya for keeping it real and taking us on your adventures even if it’s just around the corner!
Good morning! I read your blog to get more details on your favorite items from the conference. Thank you for sharing them with us – it’s the best way for me to keep current without a lot of research. I am a busy professional and you make it easy.
I read your blog because you provide such useful information and such inspiration. It is so much fun!
I read your blog because we are in the same age group and I love your insight into beauty and fashion! I have tried and loved many things that I have found on your blog! You inspire me daily so please keep blogging! XOXO
Hi Tanya. Thanks for all the information. I read your blog because you are inspiring. You are a beautiful person, inside and out. I work in an office and most of my wardrobe consists of the dreaded black. I usually don’t buy something unless I can wear it to work and I consider my wardrobe boring. I’m trying to move out of my mold and start purchasing some updated items and it’s been so long since I’ve been shopping except for work clothes. I also could not find outfits that are age appropriate yet stylish. Your stories are great and you relate to the over 50 crowd – no offense! You keep me updated, in both clothes, style, and makeup and places to travel. I’m so pleased I found your blog and enjoy your humor as well.
Tanya; I read your blog to learn so much about fashion, skin care and all that is Tyler and beauty. I look for your blog each and every morning and have gotten many of my girlfriends all over the country watching you.
Hi Tanya, I read your blog to see what someone my “age-ish” is wearing/styling. I have especially liked all the blogs on skin care, treatments you’ve tried, etc. I do wish that you styled outfits that are more friendly for those of us with figures that aren’t quite as svelte as yours. Most women my age are fighting the battle of the muffin top:)
Thanks for the shoutout, Tanya! Loved catching up with you. And sad I missed Thursday night and didn’t see your yellow floral dress- such a great look on you! xoxo Kathleen
Tanya,
I read your blog because after having a baby at 40 and working from home , I caught myself being in a fashion rut . You give me inspiration and beauty ideas to make me feel pretty and feel young again! Thank you
I read your blog for many reasons. We are close in age and I feel you are a wealth of knowledge to the over 40’s. You share a mixture of home and fashion. Most of what you share is in Dallas and I’m in the DFW area.
Tanya, I read your blog because you post about relevant topics to my age group and beyond. You take extra effort to provide a range of fashion and beauty finds that should meet most of your readers’ diverse budgets. You are genuine and I truly appreciate your writing style.
Tanya
Your blog is the best. It is always filled with
gorgeous fashions and great beauty products.
I look forward to it everyday.
I always enjoy your blog- it’s fun, up to the minute of the new and latest things.
From travel, to products, fashion and fun it always got something for everyone.
Baby boomers love you and your young helpers are fun to see and ready about.
Thanks for continuing this blog- I hope you enjoy doing it as much as we enjoy reading it.
Hi Tonya! I love EVERYTHING about your blog; it is one of my daily favorites! I love learning about so many great new products, restaurants, etc. and have incorporated many into my routine/life. I especially appreciate the diversity of features/topics, your approach to writing about/sharing, your engagement with readers, special events you host, and of course, it’s a bonus that you are in Dallas
I love reading your blog and almost always pertains to products, ideas that I love learning about! I have purchased many of your suggestions and am always happy I did! Thanks for your insight and great ideas!
Hi Tanya! I love the mix of fashion, beauty and lifestyle your blog provides. Where else can I get tips on organizing my pantry, learn about the newest anti-aging treatments and see fashion trends that I can actually wear?! Thank you for always keeping the content fresh and reaching readers of all ages.
I read each day to see your fashion posts. I love reading about makeup, too. It’s so fun.
You have a very elegant and chic look that I like.
Each year, I enjoy watching bloggers share their RWstyle Con experiences. It’s fun seeing my favorite bloggers from different parts of the country & with different styles all meet up together!
You’re one of my favorites because we’re similar ages & appreciate the same styles & brands – something that’s not as common in the 20-something driven blogger market!
I’ve read your blog for over a year now. First, I looked at it for your style, then your travels enthused me and now I watch because your Dogs are crazy (okay I enjoy them in stories) Ha. Seriously, I enjoy your style because it gives me goals. If possible I’d love to see more everyday wear. ♀️
Tanya,
I always enjoy your down to earth sweet and sassy fashion sense!! Thanks for sharing with us Plus I just simply love Texas❤️⚪️
xo…Elizabeth
I enjoy your content. I reference the travel, beauty and wedding sections as well. I think it would be nice to have a gifts page to reference for ideas for baptisms, various age birthdays, baby shower, etc. Thanks!
I like that you are local. You know & understand our unique DALLAS ❤️
So many choices of bracelets, and I pick the Byzantine hinge cuff. Layering is always a nice idea..
Thank you
Patsy
I love that you’re relatable and that your content always feels genuine. It makes me actually want to try the products you write about because I know that I can trust your opinion! Thanks for all you do!
I read your blog simply because I enjoy it. You have something for everyone.
I read this blog to see what’s new, and for the free movies!!!!!
