I wore myself out with holiday shopping and retail sale research. It’s time to hear from my favorite guest blogger, Pete Foster. He found some great savings on our AT&T wireless bill. Be sure to read how you can get the savings too.
Happy Monday! xoxo- Tanya
A Christmas gift of sorts is available from AT&T wireless. I found about it by accident as I was exploring data overages on my bill. Here’s how you can get up to twice as much data as you have now on your AT&T Mobile Share Value Plan. Just go on-line and increase your data plan or call AT&T customer service and ask for this promotion.
AT&T says that they are doing this giveaway to “reward” their customers. If that were the case I’m sure they would advertise – which they haven’t – at least that I’ve seen. I think it has more to do with Verizon and other wireless providers improving their plans. It may also have to do with AT&T beginning to send your wireless calls over the data part of their wireless network. I don’t think they are yet able to tell the difference between the data used for your pictures and the data used for these phone calls. This is called VoLTE or (pronounced “volt”) and the calls do sound markedly better, but AT&T is having a lot of problems with these calls so most folks turn off this “feature” – in fact the Apple support “Genius” team strongly recommends that you do this.
Here is how to claim your AT&T Christmas “gift” on line.
1. Log on to your wireless account and select “Overview” under “myAT&T” if it isn’t already selected.
2. Click Change Plan
3. Increase the amount of data under the plan by using the “+” button. I believe you can get up to twice the amount of data you presently have to a maximum of 30GB for the same monthly amount.
4. Once you change the amount, check that the “Estimate” has not increased. For more detail use the comparison by clicking “View Price Details” at the bottom of the “Current Plan” column.
5.Once you are satisfied, click the “Select” bar to lock in the new plan and follow the rest of the instructions to finalize the new plan.
Enjoy your savings, and, Merry Christmas.

Hi Tanya and Happy New Year!
This message is for Pete if you don’t mind passing it on to him. I tried to do what he instructed in the blog to increase the data for our family account but instead of it staying the same price when the data was doubled, it added $30 to my monthly charge. Would you ask Pete to let me know if I’m doing something wrong, the offer expired or something else. I sure appreciate you and your blog!

This looks like a great way to save money.
