TGIF! It looks like we are finally entering spring weather, so today let’s look at a gorgeous spring look. Who doesn’t love a gorgeous designer piece? I’d wear couture and carry designer bags every day if I could, but obviously that’s not an option. I’m sharing a couple of designer pieces to splurge on, and a couple of similar pieces that are a steal. The SPLURGE vs STEAL post is always one of your favorites. Also, this weekend is Presidents’ Day weekend, which means many sales. Be sure and scroll all the way through for my list of sale alerts!
Splurge vs Steal
You all know I love a good shirt dress. They are so easy to wear for everyday or dress up for work or an event. A shirt dress I am loving this season is this striped tie waist shirt dress. If you are looking for something more affordable, this tie belt shirt dress is a great alternative for under $40. The vertical stripes and tie waist make these dresses a very flattering style!
For a dressier look for an event or work, pair your dress with a blazer. For spring I love a pop of color, so I would pair it with this hot pink double breasted blazer or this pink double breasted jacket for a more affordable option. Pair it with a matching heeled mule. I love these Malone Souliers pink mules! For something less expensive but very similar, these pointed toe mules are perfect. A pointed toe mule instantly elevates any look.
If you’re searching for some accessories, this Saint Laurent puffer bag is beautiful. It’s a popular bag silhouette for everyday. If you want to try it out for a lower price, get this very similar quilted shoulder bag. Finish off your look with earrings, sunglasses and pink lipstick or for a cheaper version, these earrings, sunglasses and lipstick. You can find more of my dreamy splurge versus steal favorites below. I tend to splurge on designer handbags, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, and outerwear. If you buy quality, classic pieces, they will never go out of style.
Happy weekend! I’m grateful for you and your support. Thanks for stopping by.
xoxo – Tanya

Such a helpful post! Thank you.
If you could only invest in one designer bag, which one would it be and what color?
Oh gosh, that is such a hard question Julie.
I think a nude YSL bag or black Chanel will always be classic!
Swooning over the beautiful pink gown – wow, that would make a statement!
I have to splurge on handbags. The ultimate is always a Chanel flap bag….I especially love the 2.55.
So true! Chanel is timeless.
I would splurge on handbags and shoes. However, that pink gown makes me what to change my mind.
Handbags are a great thing to splurge on! They are an investment and will last forever.
So many beautiful midi dresses. I would be sweeping the floor. What is a short girl to do?
Hi Tanya, glad you’re safe, I’m with Linda I’m 5’4 midi length comes down too long on me. Please post sometime daytime casual dresses. In late spring to early fall I mostly wear dresses in Scottsdale bc it’s so hot. Love these dresses but I’m a more tailored gal.
Well, you can always get them altered. And many of them come in petite sizing.
Hope that helps!
I love all of your choices. I will take all of them!
I love seeing spring dresses:)
It brings me such joy! 🙂
This was fun to see the splurge vs steal. Kinda like the HGTV show.
Please do more of these.
I clicked on every item to see the details.
I’m so glad you like these type of posts. We’ll try to rotate them in more often.
