There is no better charity event in town than a fabulous luncheon and fashion show.  The 30th anniversary St. Valentine’s Day Luncheon benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is one such event.  So many things are done right on this day.  Carmaleta Whiteley and her committee raised over $500,000. Nancy C. and Richard Rogers were the presenting sponsors.  Jan Miller and Jeff Rich served as Honorary Chairs. And Stanley Korshak presented a fashion show of incredible spring colors on a glorious, sunny day (thank you Crawford Brock, owner of the fashionable boutique).  This is the second year that the event was held at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and it really changes it up a bit.  By the way, the beautiful flower centerpieces by Village Garden were to talk of the crowd.

While we all enjoyed a lovely day, lunching with friends and viewing incredible clothes, Carmaleta reminded us that “fund-raising is not just raising funds, its saving lives.”  All proceeds from this wonderful day benefit leukemia and lymphoma research.  Well done!

The fashions pictured are currently available at Stanley Korshak (click on the picture to see a larger image).  Enjoy the pictures and hop on down to the store to pick up a few things.  By the way, the shoes were all spectacular too including the pink Valentino rockstud heels I talked about a few days ago.
