I had the privilege of going on a brand trip with Avara to the beautiful, picturesque town of Stowe, Vermont. Wow! Talk about the epitome of fall. I had the best time meeting and reconnecting with some of the most amazing group of influencers. How to Get There
Before this brand trip, I had never been to Vermont. Let me tell you, it was worth the visit! From Dallas there are no direct flights so I had a quick layover, but overall it was an easy flight. I routed Dallas – Washington – Burlington with American Airlines. You’ll fly over Lake Champlain was you land. It was about a 45 minute drive from the Burlington airport to Stowe, Vermont. The state borders Canada to the north and is so close to Montreal, which explains the beauty of the town!
Where We Stayed
We stayed at the AWOL Stowe and it was absolute perfection. It’s a quaint, modern hotel tucked into the forest yet just minutes away from downtown Stowe. They call their style “untucked” for their relaxed, easy vibe. It would be a great place to stay to unwind and unplug. They had complimentary breakfast with fresh baked bread every day (yum!), plus a fabulous bar lounge. There is also a hot tub in case you want to relax outside. We loved the communal fire pit and enjoyed sitting by it each night as we roasted smores. Read about all of their amenities here.
What We Did
Avara did the best job hosting us and planning this delightful trip! It was the perfect amount of fun activities and down time to enjoy nature. We spent most of our first day exploring downtown of Stowe. It seriously looked like we had transported to a Hallmark movie. It was so picturesque and the perfect place to stroll, eat, and window shop. We also went to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to do a apple cider tasting and enjoyed fresh apple donuts. Another treat was our trip to the Ben & Jerry’s to do the factory tour and enjoy their incredible ice cream.
The weather in Stowe was mid 70’s during the day, so perfect for exploring outside. The fresh air and warm sun during the day paired with the crisp evenings felt glorious. We so enjoyed the fire pit in the evenings and even roasted s’mores by the fire. We got there just ahead of peak leaf turning season, but we loved it because there were no crowds. Apparently late September through early November is packed, so plan your trip accordingly.
Where We Ate
We ate at so many fabulous places. Besides the AWOL Stowe, we also enjoyed Idletyme, Apres Only, Matterhorn, Black Cap Coffee Bar, Cafe on Main, Cold Hollow Cider Mill, and The Butchery (the best BLT’s – trust me).
What I Wore
Of course the best activity of the week was showing off the new Avara ’24 Fall Collection. There are too many cute options to choose from! I wear a size S dress and top and the jeans all fit true to size (typically a size 4 or 27). The fall collection is selling out quickly so don’t waste any more time. The most fabulous dress for a dinner or lunch this fall! I love the navy color and gorgeous eyelet detail. Yes, it looks black but its a deep navy.
I am in love with this embroidered blouse. I paired it with these Kut from the Kloth cuff denim jeans. So flattering and a super popular style this season. The jeans run a little big.
The iconic Jackie sweater is back! It is the softest sweater. I love the 3/4 length sleeves and mock neck style. It’s the perfect lightweight sweater for fall. It comes in four other color choices. I paired it with these high-waisted black jeans, which are so sleek and comfortable. They also come in both brown and olive green, linked below. I traveled home in this outfit and its super comfy!
This mixed media dress is the perfect day to night dress! I love the sleeveless, mock neck style so you can add a jacket like this puff sleeve light denim jacket.
How cute is this corduroy dress?? It comes in both the blue and an eggplant color. It’s the perfect throw on dress for a put together fall look! It will be cute with tights and boots when the weather gets cooler.
