OK, we have about two more months of warm/hot weather. Even with the excitement of fall fashion ahead, it’s really too warm to wear it anytime soon. I start to look for items that I call “fall transitional”. This Gap striped maxi dress is a perfect example. It will take me from summer directly to fall and last until the temperature drops a bit. If it is chilly, I pair it with this blue jean jacket. It also helps break up the horizontal stripes. Here, I have accesorized it with the Akola Project Drape necklace in turquoise, some Stephanie Kantis gold jewelry (ring and bracelet) and the Vince Camuto Baily clutch I recently nabbed at Nordstrom.
I love the business model of the Akola Project and that they give back all proceeds to help the women of Uganda who make their jewelry. I have blogged about them before here. Be sure to read the story. Inspiring!
Happy Monday! xoxo- Tanya

Looking fabulous once again. I love how you’ve taken a casual, relaxed fit maxi and turned it up a notch. Though you’ve paired this look with a denim jacket, the fact that you’ve brought in elements of gold makes it chic. Bringing in multi-strands of turquoise brings my mind to water, which makes this nautical look come full circle. Love it.
