One thing is clearly obvious when you attend Sundance Film Festival. You are there for film. Your fashion statement becomes more practical than couture. Staying warm is of utmost importance. One year I remember walking to a theater in the pouring down snow. Another year, I stepped off a curb to cross the street only to find that I sank about six inches in to a snow/slush puddle. Fortunately, this year we had beautiful weather. Sunny skies every day.
Here are a few items that make the trek to Sundance a little easier.
Get a good pair of after ski boots and use them to walk around Park City, Utah. Mine are by Michelle Jordi/ Switzerland and were purchased at Gorsuch many years ago.
Another suggestion is to have a pair of goloshes with you. That way if the snow becomes slush, you will be dry. Even during the beautiful weather they serve as a nice, tall boot. I recently purchased these adorable Coach rain boots at Macy’s and they were on sale. Bonus!
A ski parka or warm coat, gloves, scarf, jeans and plenty of sweaters will do the trick. Be prepared to layer so that you can adjust to the weather. Oh, and by the way, the only people walking around in high heels and short skirts are the young ones who are freezing while they wait in line to get in a party. Not very practical.
