It seems to me that anytime we discuss a black dress its in the context of a LBD. Don’t get me wrong, we all need several LBD in our closet. However, lets not forget that you can have a wonderful casual black dress too. This black sweater dress paired with riding boots makes for a great fall outfit. And while we’re talking about fall outfits, TODAY is the first day of Partners Card benefitting The Family Place. Time to shop!
Unless you live under a rock, Dallas – Ft. Worth peeps know what Partners Card week is. Local retailers offer a 20% discount to those who shop with the card. 100% of Partners Card sales benefit survivors of domestic violence. It’s a simple formula with a huge impact. For years I have purchased my card and shopped. It’s a great time to get some items for your holiday gifts and save! Tune in tomorrow (Saturday) and watch me discuss great gift ideas from Southlake Town Square on Good Day Fox 4.
OK, back to the casual black dress (for reference, I’m wearing size small). I’m going to let you in on a little styling secret. When you wear a tight sweater dress be sure you have good shape wear underneath. It smooths out the entire look without lines or bulges. This is the one I have one and highly recommend. I wore this exact dress for the TV segment and I love that you can dress it up too. Just wear heels and take off the belt. In the winter, add black tights and wear with booties. The dress is available at Soft Surroundings (Southlake Town Square) and comes in many sizes. And it’s so soft – you will love it!
Partners Card starts October 27 and runs until November 5. I hope you will shop for a great cause. xoxo – Tanya
