Hello everyone–I hope you are enjoying your summer! This is my first summer in Texas and I am absolutely loving it. What brings me to Dallas is my internship at Stanley Korshak, I am also fortunate to be Tanya’s assistant…both of them incredible opportunities. My days are often busy but I enjoy the thrill of the innovative environment I am in. I am thankful for both of these learning experiences as they are helping me achieve my goal of pursuing a career in the fashion industry.
Fashion is something I am extremely passionate about, therefore I enjoy dressing up for work each day. But I must admit it can be difficult to create outfits that are fashionable, appropriate for work, and comfortable. I have put together a couple of my favorite outfits that are perfect for the stylish young-professional. They capture a sophisticated yet chic style and I hope they inspire you!
I hope you enjoy my blog post! xo – Victoria
Look #1 | Dressy
Dress: Torn By Ronny Kobo (sold out; similar here and here) / Bag: Deux Lux (sold out; similar here) / Shoes: Similar here and here / Bangle bracelet
My first outfit embodies a more elegant and feminine style, it is what I wore on my first day as an intern at Stanley Korshak and I found this outfit to be extremely comfortable. The dress I am pictured in is a Torn By Ronny Kobo design– unfortunately it is sold out, but I have inked below some amazing dresses that are similar to the one I am wearing. For those of you who are curvy this is the type of dress for you! It will accentuate your curves in all the right ways, you will not be disappointed! Because I have a petite build (size 0/2) I always wear some sort of heel to elongate my legs. I am on my feet essentially all day so I find heels that I can manage to wear for at least seven hours. These shoes are great for summer-time and due to the thick/chunky heel they are incredibly comfortable. Not only are these the perfect work shoes but also great for happy hour with friends and other weekend outings! Lastly, I love this Deux Lux tote– it is lightweight yet spacious enough inside to hold all of my belongings. This exact bag is sold out but I have included other look a likes below. This is a beautiful look for work and I guarantee you will receive many compliments. Although, this outfit is not exclusive for work, I believe it would make a divine ensemble for a luncheon or afternoon tea!
Look #2 | Edgy
Gingham trousers: Zara (similar here and here) / Corset t-shirt: Zara (similar here) / Shoes: Sam Edelman / Sunglasses: Le Specs (on SALE) / Bag: Valentino by Mario Valentino (on SALE)
Here I have my second look for a stylish young-professional. Right away I’m sure you notice this outfit is more edgy rather than feminine. I love this look because it is up to date with some of my favorite current trends: gingham trousers and the corset shirt. This is the type of outfit you can dress up or dress down. For a more casual look I would pair this outfit with some mules, but for work a thick heel looks great. Depending on where you work or how strict the dress code is the corset shirt may not be appropriate, but it is still a cool look for an afternoon with friends or a casual Friday. This cross-body is an excellent staple piece that can be used for many occasions and the color black will match with plenty of outfits. Sunglasses are one of my favorite accessories and I personally love the rounded shape because they give off a Rachel Zoe and Iris Apfel aesthetic. The exact sunglasses I am wearing are sold out, but I have linked a pair of Le Specs that are identical to the ones I am wearing in the photo. If your style is edgy and effortless, this is the outfit for you!
