I know it’s still mid-August, but it’s time to start thinking about fall footwear! Even with hotter temps, I still like to swap my sandals for loafers from time to time. With my recent foot surgery, it’s been difficult for me to find shoes that I can actually wear comfortably. Well, I finally solved that problem! Today we’re putting the spotlight on a shoe brand that knows how to combine style with comfort: ECCO Shoes. You may already know ECCO for its comfortable everyday footwear, but the brand offers everything from sneakers and sandals to loafers, pumps, boots, and other dressier styles. I especially love the ECCO ELEVATE styles pictured here. They’re proof that comfortable shoes can still look good!

Brand Spotlight: ECCO Shoes

ECCO has been making shoes for more than 60 years. The company was founded in Denmark in 1963 by Birte and Karl Toosbuy. Karl was a trained shoemaker who dreamed of owning his own shoe factory, so the family moved to Bredebro in southwest Denmark and built ECCO from the ground up. Today, ECCO describes itself as a global family of shoemakers with craftsmanship and innovation at the center of its designs. One thing that really sets ECCO apart is the attention the brand gives to both the materials and construction of its shoes. ECCO operates its own leather tanneries, and all of its tanneries have achieved Leather Working Group certification. The company says its ECCO Leather tannery develops more than 1,000 types of leather.

Comfort is also a major part of ECCO’s approach to shoemaking. One of the brand’s signature innovations is ECCO FLUIDFORM™, a technology that bonds the upper of the shoe directly to the sole using lightweight fluid materials rather than traditional glue or stitching. This creates soft, comfortable soles designed to follow the natural curves of the foot.

The ECCO ELEVATE collection is a great example of that combination of chic style and comfort. ECCO describes the collection as a dressier option for occasions when you want to elevate your look. The collection has included sophisticated heeled styles designed with comfort in mind, including designs with leather-wrapped heels and footbeds and rubber outsoles for grip.

I love how versatile my new shoes are. The neutral pump is such a classic wardrobe staple, while the black and camel loafers give you an easy way to complete an everyday look. They fit TTS. Above, I styled my loafers with these jeans (size 4) and this trench coat (size S). It’s the perfect fall transitional outfit!

ECCO’s women’s collection includes loafers, pumps, flats, sandals, boots, and other styles designed to work for everything from everyday wear to more formal occasions. Each style comes in numerous colors and materials, so there is one for everybody. They even offer a wide variety men’s shoes!
