Sometimes trying out a new fashion trend can be daunting. Today I want to talk about how trying out the edgier side of casual fashion doesn’t have to be scary. It can be a fun way to shake things up. No matter your age, you can pull it off! Let’s add a little edge to my typical classic look.
If I’m looking for edgier pieces, then Alice + Olivia is one place I know I can always go. Designer and owner Stacey Bendet always has the best taste when it comes to the latest trends. She pulls her inspiration from her love of vintage and whimsy to create gorgeous and unique pieces. She knows how to make edgy still look feminine and chic. I love attending the annual Alice + Olivia’s event at their Dallas store every year where Stacey Bendet and Nicky Hilton and her mom, Kathy Hilton always makes an appearance! It gives me a chance to see all of the latest trends.
One clothing item that can feel daunting to wear are parachute pants. It’s hard to find a great pair and also know how to style them. Plus, you mainly see Gen Z wearing them, making it seem like it’s a style only for young people. This is not true! These parachute cargo pants (size 6) are a pair that everyone can pull off. The drawstring waistline and ankle cuffs add a more form-fitted line. I also love how the cargo style makes them sporty chic. They come in sage and almond, both great colors. Consider wearing them with a sneakers for a sportier look.
Now that you have the pants, how should you style them? Since the pants are loose-fitting, I suggest a fitted top like this ribbed tank (size M). If you want to add a layer, then just add a denim jacket or a blazer. Add a feminine touch by pairing your look with these nude heeled sandals. They will make your legs look so long. Now finish off your look with chic accessories like these aviator sunglasses, this leather bucket bag, and this chunky bracelet.
