I don’t have the answers about the recent tragedies in our world but I do know this. I believe in the power of prayer. Whether you need it personally or we need it globally, it works. Your religious beliefs and political views do not matter to me. They are yours as mine are mine. But I do know that decent human behavior is a must for our world to be a better place. Think about this…what will the world be like for our children and grandchildren? We have to make a difference.
Don’t worry, this blog site will soon return to fashionable posts, sale alerts and tips for holiday shopping. But today, it just seems right to take pause and reflect. And to honor and pray for the people fallen in the recent tragedies. May their families find comfort and closure.
I leave you with this Irish prayer that recently gave me comfort. God Bless! xoxo- Tanya
Count your blessings instead of your crosses;
Count your gains instead of your losses.
Count your joys instead of your woes;
Count your friends instead of your foes.
Count your smiles instead of your tears;
Count your courage instead of your fears.
Count your full years instead of your lean;
Count your kind deeds instead of your mean.
Count your health instead of your wealth;
Love your neighbor as much as yourself.

Well said – I’ve always been a glass half full kind of person, but I have no words for loss of lives recently (not only the terrorist attacks, but pointless shootings in neighborhoods). I rest in my faith for protection and pray for those who’s families have been impacted by these acts.
