The official start of spring was on Wednesday. And depending on where you’re located, you might be feeling the beautiful spring weather. Which means it’s time to start transitioning your wardrobe into spring, so I’m sharing some helpful tips. Plus, cute pieces to help make the transition to spring easier. EEK, and I was just on a podcast. Want to hear what it’s like to be a full-time lifestyle blogger? Give it a listen.
Happy Friday! This week has felt so long and I’m thinking it’s because everything is in bloom and allergies are at an all time height again. There’s something about pollen that makes me 1) sneeze a lot and 2) tired. Am I just making that up? I have some very exciting things coming down the pipeline for the blog and social media and I can’t wait to share them with you. Let’s just say that APRIL is going to be a big month for me!
Now, on to today’s topic – Transition To Spring. I feel like there is a switch that someone flips and all of a sudden it’s SPRING! I’m super grateful for the beautiful weather and warmer temperatures but it almost catches everyone off guard with clothes. Here are a few tips to help you make the switch easily.
Lightweight Sweaters
You can pack up your heavier sweaters and put them away for now. But leave out those lightweight sweaters and cardigans. You can wear them with white jeans and sandals or wedges for a more springy look. If you’re shopping for new sweaters for spring, think about adding in some spring colors like lavender, light pink, baby blue, etc. Lavender and lilac are HUGE for spring!
Swap Out Accessories
A pretty white handbag or bamboo bag can change your look. I love this Cult Gaia bamboo bag and it immediately makes your look lighter and perfect for spring.
If you haven’t already, check out this post from last week on the must-haves for your wardrobe. I cover what shoes you should have in your closet. For spring, make sure you have some cute slides, fun wedges, and pumps. If you already have the classic black and nude colors, think about adding a fun white pump or sandal. They’re fun for spring and very on trend.
Denim
I love a good pair of dark wash jeans. But for spring, I like to break out my favorite white denim jeans. Make sure you have a pair of white jeans you love and feel comfortable in. If you don’t like white jeans, try light wash jeans. Wearing lighter denim washes lightens up your wardrobe for spring. And yes, you can wear white denim year-round. It’s so cute with a tee or sweater!
What pieces do you use to transition into spring? Let me know in the comments below. Have a great weekend! xoxo – Tanya
