This is going to seem odd since I have been blogging about DIFF so much. But over the weekend I ran to NYC with my favorite film companion Ruth. She is the Executive Producer of two incredible films INDIAN POINT and FRANNY and both films had their world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. So in essence, we did a film festival within a film festival. I am always grateful that she is a part of amazing projects and I get to tag along. If you are in New York, the Tribeca Film Festival continues through this weekend and you can still catch both of these films and more.
I pack mostly casual items for this festival and hopping around NYC. And I always visit my favorite shoe boutique when I am there – Schutz Shoes. Snagged three pair and they are being shipped to me. Don’t worry, you will see them styled on the blog soon. Some highlights of this trip were seeing Richard Gere, Theo James and Dakota Fanning at the screening and after party (cast of FRANNY), getting caught up with film friends over dinner in midtown and having incredible weather. Oddly enough, I will be back in NYC two times in the next few weeks. One for the premier of The Mink Catcher, a short film that I have a small part in and the second time to attend the Lucky Fabb conference. More details about both of those trips later. Loved The London NYC hotel with the fabulous Gordon Ramsay restaurant.
What are your favorite spots in New York City? Leave me a comment and let me know. xoxo- Tanya
