What happens when a bunch of bloggers get together to check out the new menu at Casa Rubia and sample chocolates with champaign at Kate Weiser Chocolates? We experienced what can only be called heaven!
If you haven’t been to the amazing area called Trinity Groves in Dallas you really must check it out. It is located directly next to the Trinity River and also at the foot of the Margaret Hunt Hill Suspension Bridge. It’s a 15-acre restaurant, retail, artist and entertainment destination located in West Dallas.
My blogger buddies and I were invited to try out the new menu at Casa Rubia. Executive Chef Omar Flores treated us to a lovely lunch and wine pairing. He explained the delicious new items and his concepts behind the enhanced menu served tapas style. Believe me, it was so good that we ate every bite of it. I mean, just look at the pictures.
And if that wasn’t enough, we went around the corner to Kate Weiser Chocolates. Decadent, I tell you! The custom, hand painted chocolates are a work of art. Almost too pretty to eat (but we did). We got to chat with owner Kate Weiser and talk to her about her hand painted chocolate creations. They are a work of art!
Trinity Groves offers many restaurants which can be found here. And the view is incredible. Be sure to drive across the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge too – breathtaking! A huge thank you to Omar and Kate for welcoming us in to their wonderful establishments that day. I loved sharing the experience with Mary Summers (So Then They Say), Heather Anderson (Style by Fluent), Jaime Shrayber (The Real Fashionista), Samantha Stewart (Style of Sam) and Cathy Williamson (The Middle Page).
When’s the last time you checked out a new restaurant? I highly suggest you try both of these. xoxo- Tanya

This sounds like so much fun. The food looks wonderful. I will have to check this out for a vacation spot. Thank you so much for sharing
