Happy Sunday! I hope you had a great weekend. Weekends are a great time for me to play catch up, try out new looks and new products and do a ’round up’ post. I’ve noticed that my readership is really high on Sunday so time permitting, I hope to continue these weekend posts.
It’s no secret that bloggers are sent tons of products and clothes to try. There is at least one box on my front porch daily. I think I need to give the Fed Ex, UPS and USPS mail carrier a little gift because they are here so much and make sure I receive all my shipments. The free stuff in addition to the items I purchase and/or collaborate on creates a bit of a backlog over here at TanyaFoster.com headquarters. I try everything that is sent to me. However, it only makes it to the blog if I like it and if it is something worth sharing. I am going to guess and say that about 40 percent of what I receive actually makes it to the blog.
There are two items on here today that I found through two of my blogger friends. Shout out to Erin Busbee of the Busbee Style and Marnie Goldberg of Ms Gold Girl. They both live in San Antonio and have amazing blogs. You’ll see below when I credit them for the item. Yes, I follow other blogs. I’m inspired by so many great people, bloggers and friends and it really helps me learn new things. Just the other night someone at a birthday party stopped me and said “Thank goodness for your daily blog posts. It’s the only way I know what is going on.” That makes me so happy! Believe me, if I learn something new, I want to share it!
Enjoy this glorious weather we are having! xoxo – Tanya
Weekend Round Up
I found this wonderful dress through Erin Busbee at Busbee Style. She mentioned on her Instagram account (follow her) that this dress was on sale at Shopbop. You’ve never seen me jump on the Shopbop site so fast! It’s sold out but I am linking you to some other spectacular blue and white dresses. Notice that I have my “it” bag that I recommended to you in this blog post. GET IT NOW! The one I am carrying is the smaller size. These shoes I have on are new too.
Here’s a trick I learned from a beauty blogger! Marnie Goldberg of Ms Gold Girl is HUGE on YouTube! Occasionally, she will do an Instagram live video session (follow her). I caught one last week and she went though her daily make-up routine and said something about having a smoother face after getting rid of all the peach fuzz with the Tinkle razor. I was like “HUH?” I had no idea that you could get rid of the peach fuzz on your face with this gentle process. I ordered them immediately and tried it. Success! She says to do this around once a month. It makes your skin on your face softer and helps your skincare products and makeup go on smoother. I might even be brave and do a video about this.
I’ve always liked Bliss products. I just tried their Hot Salt Scrub and it is fantastic! Use it in the hot shower and it really exfoliates your body and gets the dead skin off. You will come out with silky smooth skin. Bonus: Your bathroom will smell like a spa!
Am I the last one on earth to lean about Tula products? They sent me this Exfoliating Treatment Mask and I am in love with it. You can use it several times a week. I use it at night after I cleanse my face. Highly recommend!
Joico contacted me and wanted to know if I would like to have shiny blonde hair all the time. Um, hello…YES! I even checked with Gaby Chico who does my Keratin treatments to make sure these products would be safe for my hair and she approved. Who doesn’t want beautiful, shiny hair?
I know, I am nearing an obsession level about OLLY vitamins.
Scratch nearing, I am obsessed! I can’t get enough of them! Now they make protein shakes and the Probiotic comes in a quick melt stick (good for on the go situations). Get them – all of them!
I have heard for a long time that the best mascara on the market is Urban Decay. So I thought I would try it. Y’all, it’s really good! I like it because it thickens your lashes without getting too clumpy. It also layers nicely. While I was at it, I am now trying their Color Correcting Fluid (Pink – for dark circles and spots; there are 6 colors) and their lip gloss. Both are really good! I hear good things about their eye shadow palette too.
