Is everyone having a nice holiday week? What are your holidays looking like this year? I hope that everyone is able to travel and visit loved ones, especially if you were not able to last year. Next week is that odd time of year where you feel like you’re in a time void. That in-between holiday time is the perfect time for relaxing and after Christmas sale shopping. I’ll be signing off for a few days to enjoy Christmas time with my family, but will be back with my annual ‘After Christmas Sales’ post. Today I want to feature casual winter style for you vacation time. This is also a great look to wear all winter long. I’ve also included some ideas for at-home activities to do with the family as well as activity ideas if you’re in the Dallas area.
Casual Winter Style & Holiday Activities
Let’s start with my casual winter look above. One of my favorite sweaters this year is this chunky cable knit sweater. It’s under $40 and comes in 12 colors! Just pair it with a pair of skinny jeans and sneakers for the perfect casual winter look. These Gucci sneakers are perfect for the holidays because of the red and green accents! They are an investment piece that is worth the price tag. For more of my favorite winter sweaters, be sure and read HERE.
Now let’s look at some great games and activities that you can enjoy with your family and friends this holiday season. What Do You Meme Family Edition is filled with lots of laughs and great for the whole family. For another hilarious game for those of you with kids is Kids Against Maturity. It is the family-friendly version of Cards Against Humanity. If you want a fun card game, I suggest either Skyjo Action or Power Switch. I have more games linked below. If you would rather cuddle up with a holiday-themed book, I suggest One Day in December by Josie Silver or The Holiday Swap by Maggie Knox.
If you’re looking to go out and about and live in the Dallas area, definitely check out the Dallas Arboretum. They have several Christmas holiday events that are great for the whole family. Another fun place to go to is the Gaylord Texan. They have an Elf-themed ice show as well as amazing Christmas decor and daily events. If you have a granddaughter visiting, I recommend booking a tea at the American Girl Doll Store. They have stores in most major cities around the country, so you don’t have to be in Dallas to do this. Another option is The Adolphus Holiday Tea and Cocoa Lounge. I have been several times and it is amazing.
Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays! Thank you for all of your support by shopping my 2021 Holiday Gift Guides and other blog posts. We’ll leave them in the navigation bar in case you need anything after Christmas too. Your support means the world to me! Wishing you and abundance of JOY. We’ll be back soon.
