I interrupt the holiday shopping whirlwind for a brief discussion about New Year’s Eve. With all the Christmas shopping and wrapping we can’t forget that in a little over two weeks, we will flip the calendar from 2016 to 2017. Let’s talk about dressing options for three types of New Year’s Eve celebrations – formal, party and casual.
No matter what your plans are, you need to think about what you are wearing. I have had several readers tell me that they are attending formal weddings and parties this year. This is most likely due to NYE falling on a Saturday night. Or you might be attending a fun NYE party that needs a special cocktail dress. Going to dinner and a movie (my favorite thing to do on NYE if we aren’t attending a party)? Then I have a few suggestions for a low-key evening as well. Regardless of what your plans are, you need a stylish look. It’s the last day of the year after all!
Look 1 | FORMAL: Earrings / Long sequin dress / Cuff bracelet / Nude heel / Gold & White clutch / Blush lipstick
Look 2 | PARTY: Velvet dress / Burgundy heels / Glitter pumps (as seen in this blog post) / Gold & White clutch / Bold lip
Look 3 | CASUAL: Off the shoulder sweater / Faux leather leggings / Over the knee boot / Chanel nail polish / Gold earrings / Glitter clutch
All three looks will work for a variety of occasions, not just for NYE. I’ve linked lots more below that will also work. Do you have any fun plans for 12/31/16? xoxo – Tanya
P.S. I just got featured in Rank & Style for my “10 must haves”. I am linking you to my items below. Click here to read the feature.
Hi Tanya
As a Washington Huskies fan I’ll be wearing purple and gold and jeans on NYE watching my dawgs play Bama in the Peach Bowl
GO DAWGS! Roll the tide back to Bama
Love your dress options though for other occasions
