what to wear to a black tie event this spring

Here’s a fashion question I get a lot. What to wear to a black tie event in the spring? Today we tackle that with the help of Eliza J dresses and Dillard’s.

Think floral, bright colors and elegance that won’t break the bank. I am partnering with Eliza J dresses and Dillard’s to bring you several marvelous spring looks and this is one of them. It’s currently available at Dillard’s (in stores) and I absolutely adore the look. Attending a black tie event does not mean you need to spend tons of money. But you should wear a long dress/skirt when the invitation reads “black tie” and it is a seated dinner event. You can get away with a shorter length when the invitation reads “cocktail party”.

Do you know what my favorite thing to do is as soon as we are pulling in to our garage? Take my shoes off and walk in to my house barefoot! Ladies, am I right?
