Winter Wedding Guest, Black-Tie Event & Holiday Dresses
Why is it that finding the perfect dress for a formal event can be so hard? Well, my job is to make your search a little bit easier. For winter weddings, you definitely need to consider the weather. Typically a dress with sleeves is your best option, but I love investing in a dress that I can wear for more than one season, like this navy halter gown. It is so flattering, comfortable, and has been perfect for all of my formal events this season. Whenever I am outside, I just wear a shawl or wrap. You can also wear a faux fur coat. Please note, I reworked the dress into a halter but I also love the criss-cross styling.
Another dress I have been wearing to weddings and events this year is this black puff-sleeve mini dress. Black is always a great color option for winter weddings, and the subtle pattern and design gives the dress a chic, expensive look. Now, if you’re wearing a more neutral colored dress, then you have the prerogative to wear fun shoes and accessories like these Jimmy Choo crystal buckle sandals. I wore them with both of these dresses and they really made the whole look pop. The green is perfect for the holiday season but they also come in black.
Now, just because it’s winter doesn’t mean we need to wear only dark colors. It is totally acceptable to wear a fun color or pattern. Some colorful dresses I love are this floral one-shoulder maxi dress and this red crepe dress. I also love jewel tones during the winter. This one shoulder satin dress and these crystal embellished velvet mules are both gorgeous shades to wear in the winter. Since it’s the holiday season, wearing metallics is another great option. This platinum mini dress is perfect for a holiday event or NYE wedding. If you are not ready to wear all metallic, just add some glitz with your shoes and accessories. I love these metallic ankle strap heels and this metallic clutch.

Your shoe game has really been on point lately! I’m a shoe lover; but unfortunately, I can no longer wear heels due to a foot injury. Thanks for including a pair of flats in your selections. How would you style them with an evening dress?
Staci-
Just make sure that the dress is long enough or a midi flare dress.
Flats can totally work!

Such a cute couple! 🙂 I really like the short party dress the most! But you look so beautiful in evening gowns. I love being your arm candy.
