First of all, THANK YOU for all the positive feedback from yesterday’s blog post on 5 Coping Strategies For Difficult Times. I read all of your comments and I’m so happy it was helpful. I also polled my followers on Instagram yesterday and it is clear that you want the blog post schedule to continue as normal. So here goes. Let’s talk about what I’m really wearing…
Laura and I just updated How To Survive The Homebody Lifestyle blog post. We hope you will find this helpful in navigating your “new normal” of staying home.
My all-time favorite looks are CASUAL. You may remember my favorite casual winter looks, but now it’s time for what’s currently in my closet this spring! With everything going on in the world right now, we are going to be spending much more time at home in casual wear. It is so important to still find a routine, which includes getting up and getting dressed each morning like normal. That is actually a huge part of establishing normalcy during these trying times. These casual spring looks are perfect for working from home. It’s a great time to get an updated wardrobe not only to stay motivated and productive, but also because there are a lot of great sales going on like this one at ShopBop. Right now, get up to 70% OFF! Also, they are having up to 70% OFF of menswear! CLICK HERE to get started.
For a weekend home look, I love a good lounge pant. One of my favorite casual pants is the Soma Sunday pants (comes in black and gray) pictured above. They are great as joggers, PJ’s or sweats. I pair them with the Soma terry long sleeve shirt. Just add these pink tennis shoes to complete the look. Ok, now let’s dive into some more of what’s currently in my closet for the casual looks round-up.

Instagram Round-Up: Casual Looks
I love a good blouse this season! There are so many ways to wear a blouse and it is so easy to dress up or down. In the first picture, I paired this 3/4 puff sleeve blouse with these skinny jeans. I love to pair this look with these snakeskin sandals for a fun pop of color. You can also pair them with these Gucci sneakers. I also wear these sneakers with my favorite Veronica Beard skinny jeans and a navy blouse, as seen in the second photo. I love the Veronica Beard Kate high-rise skinny jeans because they are the perfect length for my long legs.

Let’s look at some other looks that are great with a pair of jeans! A favorite that’s currently in my closet are these Mott & Bow dark blue skinny jeans. They are super comfortable and flattering. In the first picture, I paired them with this Talbots animal print blouse and my favorite Gucci shoes. You can also pair them with this striped button up blouse and these Coach sandals that I wore in Belize. I pair both of these looks with a Hermes belt. It’s a staple in my wardrobe. Yes, it’s an investment piece but I have gotten so much use out of it!

There is nothing that says springtime quite like a casual dress. I love this black maxi dress from ShopBop(comes in white and black – size up one size) with these slide sandals. If you want a shorter dress, then you will love this Sail to Sable flutter hem dress that a paired with a jean jacket and these sneakers. Either of these looks can be paired with this sun hat for a day outside in the sunshine.

Last, but not least, is another great look for your spring wardrobe. This black puffed sleeve tee is your new go-to black tee. It is casual, but still elevates any look because of the chic sleeves. I pair it with these white skinny jeans(under $70) and these black Remi mules. Slip on mules are really popular this spring, so I recommend getting yourself a pair!

Thanks for all the tips. All of your outfits are great. I purchase a lot of your suggestions and it’s good to know what brands fit true to size and those that don’t. I too think the individual brands created by individuals are made for their bodies, so I’m pleased that someone else thinks so as well. I have several of the Glam Meet Gals dresses and I always have to size up for the bust. Thanks for all the suggestions and styling tips.
Thanks so much Barbara. I’m glad you find these helpful!

Looking good, Tanya!
Seriously, you look 20 years old and ADORBS in that flutter-hem dress and jean jacket with white sneaks! Love it, Tanya! Keep up the awesome work!! We all look forward to your posts.
Thank you for all your positivity and for sharing some great casual looks! I’m learning it’s a marathon not a sprint!
Thanks for the upbeat post! I feel better getting up and dressed, even when I’m not leaving the house!
I love all your outfits but I especially like your striped short sleeve shirt. By the way, you look so skinny. I’m wearing my Soma lounge pants today and they are so comfy. Thanks for the recommendation.
You Know I just got Sunday Pants from Soma in gray — and got another black pair! Thank you for posting these (and got the top too). Sunday Pants are my everyday pants for social distancing attire! Thanks, Tanya and Soma!
